Be warned, this trailer for Hitman: Absolution is not very suitable for work. (NSFW).

It's been a little over a year now since IO Interactive and Square Enix announced Hitman: Absolution. The developers first stated that they wanted this sequel to be "a more stylized, more serious, and darker game this time around in both the story line and the visuals." Based on this trailer seen above, it looks like they have (somewhat) achieved their goals.

The "Attack of the Saints" trailer comes as an early taste of what we can expect to see at E3 2012 next week. Just as brutal as the trailer from E3 2011, this latest video does is a little over-the-top and the reaction is mixed as to whether or not it does the Hitman franchise justice. What we get was Agent 47 at his best, dispatching an ICA wetworks team that call themselves, "The Saints." Beautiful and deadly, these ladies come packing heat.

Check out teaser artwork below that teased the trailer (click on the image to enlarge):

Standing in front of the word "tease," these ladies are no tease themselves - they get straight down to business. Armed to the teeth, the Saints go all out guns a blazin,' but sadly it wasn't enough. What looks like the death squad scene out of Tarantino's Kill Bill 2, these ladies look like they came straight out of Old Town from Frank Miller's Sin City. Silent, but deadly, Agent 47 can be seen doing what he does best. And from what is displayed, it looks like the motion-capture from Giant Studios has done its job stupendously — along with a little help from CGI specialists at Visual Works.

Pre-ordering Absolution grants players with the "Sniper Challenge," a standalone Hitman downloadable game exclusive to pre-orders. It is available now to play on the Xbox 360 and PS3 with a PC version coming August 1. Since our first preview of Absolution back at E3 last year, it has become one of Game Rant's top 25 most anticipated games of the year. Be sure to keep an eye out for all of our coverage at E3 next week as we bring you more news about this game.

Hitman: Absolution launches globally November 20, 2012 on for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
