Hitman 3 has just received a big roadmap for November 2022, featuring all of its new content and the announcement of a new Escalation. While post-launch content has been a staple of the new Hitman trilogy from the very start, developer IO Interactive has doubled down on monthly post-launch updates with the third and final release, introducing a variety of new gear, outfits, and other tidbits as time goes on.

On top of giving long-term players more challenging content to play in Hitman 3, IO Interactive has also used these releases as stop-gap solutions between more substantive free content releases, such as additional maps and extra game modes. November 2022 is, therefore, going to be no different, though the game is nearing its biggest post-launch content update yet.

Much as was the case with Hitman 3's September 2022 content roadmap, the November showcase brings with it a variety of new activities and gadgets for players to engage with and pursue, respectively. This time around, Agent 47 can unlock a vial of nitroglycerin, the Ancestral Fountain Pen weapon, and the casual Florida Fit With Gloves outfit. These items can be accessed by playing a number of new challenges, though the highlight of the month will be the Halliwell Fable Escalation, which comes with its own unique Big Bad Wolf outfit.

Most interesting for veteran players will be the fact that IO Interactive is finally kickstarting the Hitman 3 Freelancer Mode closed technical test, as promised a few weeks back. The rogue-lite assassination mode is supposed to provide an entirely new way of playing Hitman, and it's currently slated to launch on January 26, 2023, with the developer seemingly all but certain that it can meet this new deadline.

It appears as though IO Interactive was having a number of technical difficulties with this new game mode, as Hitman's Freelancer Mode received pushback after pushback over the course of 2022. Much like Escalation missions, Freelancer Mode is supposed to use the basic gameplay loop of Hitman 3 to build something new and different for players to enjoy, and it's possible that the dynamic, randomly generating elements of the mode are what's complicating the matter.

Whatever the case may be, the November roadmap for Hitman 3 is jam-packed with new goodies for players to chase, and with the Freelancer Mode testing underway, everything seems to be going along smoothly over at IO Interactive. Once Freelancer Mode is out, odds are that the developer will move on to producing its Project 007 James Bond game, which is due to launch sometime in the future.

Hitman 3 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
