Hunting for trophies or achievements is a great way to extend the amount of time players get to spend with a game, and the same holds true for Hitman 3. In the base game, there are an impressive 47 trophies to be earned (48 including the platinum), but one in particular can give players a lot of trouble if they don't know what to do.
This trophy, called Count Down from 47, is ranked at bronze, but the only hint players have is a blurb saying "47 takes another nap." In order to get this trophy, players actually need to activate Hitman 3's secret ending, so they'll have to get to the very end of the game first.
Unlocking Hitman 3's secret ending is actually very easy, and it doesn't require that players do anything special during their playthrough. For starters, just get through the game until reaching the final decision. Spoilers lie ahead for the ending of Hitman 3, but players will need this knowledge if they want to get the trophy.
Once Agent 47 confronts the Constant in the final mission, the player is given two options for how to deal with him. On the one hand, 47 can use his weapons or any number of deadly implements lying about the room to kill the Constant, completing his mission as intended. Alternatively, players can administer a serum that causes complete memory loss, wiping the Constant's memories completely and effectively eliminating him. In order to get the secret ending and the Count Down from 47 Achievement/Trophy, players actually need to do nothing.
Instead of killing or injecting the Constant, pick up the serum and wait. Earlier in the cutscene, the Constant offered up the idea that 47 should just take the serum and wipe his own memory, but this offer is swiftly refused. After waiting for about a minute, the Constant notices that Agent 47 seems to be second guessing himself and once again offers this up as a solution. Players can now choose to inject themselves with the serum rather than the Constant, and doing so will initiate the secret ending.
As soon as players choose to inject themselves, the trophy will be unlocked. For those that stay to watch the secret ending, there's a fun easter egg where Agent 47 wakes up in a padded room on a bed to the sound of the Constant's voice, a direct recreation of the opening scene of the original Hitman: Codename 47 game that released back in 2000.
