Thanks in large part to the massive open world Rockstar Games has created in Red Dead Redemption 2, players are still managing to uncover all sorts of little details hidden throughout the world three years after the game originally launched. Some players have shown their creativity such as one individual who decided to make a time-lapsed video of their character walking across the huge Red Dead Redemption 2 map while eating stew.

Others have instead tested the limits of Red Dead Redemption 2's RAGE engine to see what is or isn't capable inside the game world. Already, fans have made some surprising discoveries as the game world reactions to certasin actions, such as pigs being able to eat dead bodies. Another encounter revealed that RDR2 NPCs are capable of suffocating under a certain amount of weight, as an enemy became trapped under a horse and after flailing around briefly, they ultimately died. In addition to creativity and detail, players have also stumbled across strange glitches within the world, inevitable considering its size.

As seen over on the Red Dead Redemption 2 subReddit, a user by the name of eatablecookie captured video of a strange occurance they came across exploring the world. After coming across a lengthy wooden bridge that appeared to be glitching, they attempted to cross it. Similar to a bungie cord, the player was inevitably shot into the air high above the clouds. For nearly 30 seconds, Arthur Morgan continued to ragdoll and scream as they inevitably smashed into the virtual ground below and prompting a Game Over screen.

As noted by eatablecookie, the glitch can be found at Pike's Basin at New Austin. While it appears this glitch may have been patched in the latest update at this point, to trigger it, the player had to throw a tomahawk at a particular spot on the bridge to cause it to start glitching out.

Community response to the hilarious footage has been positive, with one commentor remarking at how impressive the vertical ceiling actually is, especially when there isn't any way to fly or use the space. As someone responded, the size is likely needed due to the volumetric clouds that the game engine employs to make the world feel more authentic.

For many, this glitch resembles a number of similar glitches found in past Rockstar titles. Grand Theft Auto 4, for example, featured a random swingset, which would launch cars across the city. In fact, Grand Theft Auto 5 also had a house gate which could fling cars into the air at extreme speeds. This actually isn't the first glitch found within RDR 2 either. Earlier this year, Red Dead Online players even found a waterwheel in Strawberry that was also capable of launching players who managed to wedge themselves in a certain way.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
