Since its release earlier this year, Zack Snyder's Justice League has continued to attract attention from various celebrities for its bold direction. The latest to give their thoughts on Zack Snyder's Justice League then, is none other than Hideo Kojima of Kojima Productions.

Hideo Kojima is well known for his games' highly cinematic qualities. From the complex plots, and extensive use of dialogue and cutscenes, to more recently, the attention to photo-realistic environments and the hiring of big-name actors like Norman Reedus and Mads Mikkelsen in Death Stranding, Kojima's love of film is constantly on display in his titles. Beyond his games though, a simple scroll through his Twitter profile will truly demonstrate his adoration of the medium, as it is chock full of movie-related posts. It was only a matter of time before he commented on Zack Snyder's Justice League.

Last night Kojima posted a pair of tweets praising Zack Snyder's Justice League. In the first tweet Kojima specifically lauds the film's writing improvements for Flash and Cyborg, while also noting Snyder's artistic changes of the 4:3 aspect ratio and darker art direction. These choices in some ways  literally embody DC's trend of darker superhero films. Whether the darker DC films will continue to work is still unknown, but at least Kojima seems to appreciate these stylistic choices.

The second tweet is a bit more open-ended, and reflective of Kojima's personality. Kojima references the fan termed Snyder-verse to help define just how definitive the Snyder Cut is from the original Justice League, it not being just a cut but a universal difference. He ends the tweet with a pun, Snyder finally getting "justice" for by producing the movie he was unable to make back in 2017.

Some fans pointed out how Kojima should release a special cut of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. Notoriously, not all of Kojima's vision made it into Metal Gear Solid 5, especially story wise, which in turn made for a rather disappointing send off for his beloved series. Fans discovered a missing chapter that would have made for a more solid conclusion than what is currently in the game, but it is unlikely that that chapter will ever be seen. Following that game's release, Kojima would go on to leave Konami and create Kojima Productions.

Last month, Kojima announced at Summer Games Fest, Death Stranding: Director's Cut, coming exclusively to PlayStation 5. While details about new version of the game are scarce, Death Stranding was the first title to come from Kojima Productions, which was seemingly the actualization of Kojima's vision. Clearly, this is not like the Zack Snyder's Justice League situation, but it looks like Kojima has more in store than what originally came in Death Stranding in 2019.

Zack Snyder's Justice League will be available on Blu-Ray and DVD on September 7, 2021.
