Hideo Kojima has been a key player in the gaming industry for more than three and a half decades. With P.T. reaching its 8th anniversary recently, both he and the fan base have been reminiscing about this brief horror title and the loss of what would have been a new Silent Hill game. However, that's just one of many endeavors the video game auteur has been involved with, and a recent video from the man himself has revealed his next project.

At this year's Gamescom, the Kojima Productions founder made a brief appearance to announce that a new podcast will be coming to Spotify next month. In the one-minute clip, the Japanese director said that fans will be able to check out his program starting on September 8. He goes on to say that the show will be available in both Japanese and English languages to appeal to those outside of his home country. There will also be guest appearances from people in "various fields," suggesting that it will be much more than just a gaming podcast.

Hideo Kojima actually announced a podcast back in February called "Radioverse," in which he and guests discussed games, movies, and other topics. However, this new one will be titled "Brain Structure," and there's not much known about what it will contain. Kojima does say that, along with guests, Gamescom host Geoff Keighley will have a regular segment devoted to entertainment news on each episode.

The man behind the likes of Metal Fear Solid and Death Stranding is known for his pretty outlandish ideas, as well as his storytelling depth. Given his extensive career, he has made something of an impact on the video game industry. In fact, earlier this year, the Japanese government granted Hideo Kojima an award for Fine Arts, specifically for his work on the director's cut of Death Stranding. From what the committee said, it appears they considered the game, or at least this iteration of it, to have "dynamic interactions" worthy of note.

Hideo Kojima was just one industry figure who made an appearance at the Opening Night Live show for Gamescom 2022. As well as a slew of game announcements, there were also appearances from the likes of Gearbox Software cofounder Randy Pitchford, who was there to talk about New Tales from the Borderlands. There was also an interview with The Callisto Protocol director Glen Schofield.

"Brain Structure" will launch on September 8 exclusively on Spotify.
