Tango Gameworks' and Bethesda's latest Microsoft title, Hi-Fi Rush, is all about staying on the beat to rack up combos and get high scores. Although players can still get away with playing and not focusing on the music or staying on rhythm, there will be times throughout Chai's adventure when he'll need to complete some challenging (and mandatory) rhythm games to progress.

The mandatory mini-game in question will begin to happen after players get through the first couple of Tracks (stages) and will look like the scene in the image below.

Players will need to stand in place and press a series of buttons on the controller in time with the closing circles. It may appear to be easy at first, but it can definitely be hard for some players, especially if someone is playing through Game Pass on the Cloud, due to the input lag. Unfortunately, even if a player doesn't have good rhythm in their bones, they'll need to successfully input the commands if they want to continue with the story. While there isn't a way to skip these rhythm minigames entirely, there is a way to make them easier.

How to Make Hi-Fi Rush's Rhythm Minigames Easier

If Hi-Fi Rush players head to the Options screen by pressing the pause button, they'll see a section for Accessibility. Scroll down towards the bottom to find a setting titled 'Single Button Rhythm Game.' Toggling this option will make it so that all rhythm games in the story mode default to a single button on the controller. This way, players can focus on being on time with the closing circles without needing to press different buttons -it'll just be the X button. It's worth noting that the setting has no effect on the leniency of timing the button presses.

Another way to make these minigames easier is to turn on the rhythm visualization, which will make a bar appear on the bottom of the screen, helping players stay on the beat.

Hi-Fi Rush is available on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
