It sounds like Henry Cavill will be putting the familiar "S" back on his chest sometime soon. Numerous reports are popping up all over claiming that Warner Bros. intends to keep Henry Cavill on as the Man of Steel — though for which upcoming movies remain unclear.

Whatever the film is, however, it won't be another standalone Man of Steel, at least not according to Deadline's sources. All anyone knows is that Cavill will reprise his role as Superman in an upcoming DCEU movie.

It won't be in Wonder Woman 1984 or the Suicide Squad either because both movies have already finished filming. It also doesn't make any sense for Superman to appear in 2021's The Batman because it tells a story of Bruce Wayne before he meets Clark Kent. Cavill could appear in the upcoming Aquaman and Shazam sequels, though, or even in Black Adam.

The latter two movies seem to have the best chance. Shazam has a Superman cameo in its end-credits scene, and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson teased a showdown between Black Adam and Superman in the past. The Batman could also technically feature a cameo at the end of the movie if it has an end-credits scene that time-skips. Henry Cavill could even appear in all of the upcoming DC films.

The Man of Steel released is available now on digital, DVD, and Blue-Ray.
