As a core part of Hello Neighbor 2, items serve to help players progress, solve puzzles, and overcome obstacles. Collecting items is easy since each item is acquired after completing a certain Hello Neighbor 2 Act.

A variety of items exist in the game, and some of them will be utilized in multiple Acts, like the Crowbars and Scissors. Players will also stumble upon items that solely exist to facilitate the experience in certain Acts. Since these items are added to the inventory, players can keep them for future Acts if they wish.

There is no doubt that the Crowbar is the most vital item, since it is, in fact, used in all the Hello Neighbor 2's four Acts as well as in the DLCs. Players can use this item to traverse obstacles blocking their paths, such as wooden planks that obscure doors and passages. Crowbar is also used to open wooden chests and break glass windows, creating an opening into unreachable areas.

However, in Act 2 of Hello Neighbor 2, the Extinguisher is acquired, since it is needed to smolder the fire in the Baker’s oven. The Fire Extinguisher is mainly required to put out the flames hovering over the various puzzle items, such as keys and meat.

Shovel

The Wrench is the final item introduced in the game since it can only be collected in Act 4 of Hello Neighbor 2. The Wrench is used to loosen the tight bolts that are locking the bathroom door, and iron fireplace gate in the Museum. Additionally, it can be used to open the vent between the garage and the room next to it, helping players escape the Neighbor's tight grip.

Drone

The Drone is only obtained after purchasing the Hello-Copter DLC, or the game Deluxe Edition. The latter offers a variety of add-ons like the Hello Neighbor 2 Back to School DLC and the Late Fees DLC. Using the Drone, players can navigate the Acts without worrying about being caught by the guards. Also, it can collect items that are out of reach without having to find solutions to their puzzles. It should be noted that the Drone doesn’t have a specific range that restricts players' navigation.

Drone Display

This is also included in the Hello-Copter DLC package, as without it the Drone is useless. The Drone Display is used to control the Drone through the Hello Neighbor 2 Acts. To use it, players should first throw the Drone then switch to the Drone Display and activate it. Since the Drone serves as a distraction to guards, players don’t have to worry about being caught, as long as they don’t steer the Drone toward them.

Hello Neighbor 2 is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
