Although both the PS5 and the Xbox Series X are both capable of backwards compatibility, most would agree that a dedicated next gen upgrade is usually a much better option. Now Hell Let Loose will be coming to both next generation consoles sometime this year. Interested players should be sure to keep up with both Team 17, the publisher, and Black Matter, the developer for more information as time goes by.

For those that haven't had a chance to check it out yet, Hell Let Loose released in Early Access for Steam back in June of 2019, but it has yet to make its way over to a console. The main draw of the first-person shooter sees players duking it out in massive 50 vs 50 battles representing pivotal moments in World War 2 on the western front.

The announcement came directly from Team17, but it doesn't seem as though there will be PS4 or Xbox One versions of the game. This is most likely due to the intensity of running these large scale, 100 person battles, something that last generation console may have struggled with. The announcement also didn't come with any kind of date, but fans can expect to see Hell Let Loose hit consoles sometime this year.

On Steam, Hell Let Loose was very well received, maintaining "Very Positive" reviews over the course of more than 23,000 inputs. Players wanting to check it out now on PC can still find it on Steam, and it runs for the modest price of $29.99. It remains to be seen whether this price will be the same on the full release console versions.

Hell Let Loose is in Early Access on Steam now and will release fully on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X in 2021.
