The once iPhone exclusive point-and-click adventure title by Telltale Games about a bad, pot-bellied British cop, Hector: Badge of Carnage Episode 1: We Negotiate With Terrorists will be coming to the PC, Mac and iPad very soon. As a bonus, Telltale Games has opted to include a free copy of the highly enjoyable Nelson Tethers: Puzzle Agent to those who pre-order the game. 10% of all pre-order sales will go to Japan disaster relief efforts, as well.

True to the form of Telltale Games, Hector will be an episodic affair with installments releasing throughout the year, with two on the horizon: Episode 2: Senseless Acts of Justice and Episode 3: Beyond Reasonable Doom, which will close out the three part game.

The first episode of Hector finds the curry-loving, overweight detective in the town of Clapper's Wreake. Terrorists have seized control of the town and it's up to Hector to carry out their demands or see his fellow officers be killed off. It's not exactly an easy decision for him to make. Check out the trailer below to see what a lazy cop is truly capable of.

Who doesn't love classic adventure game humor and gameplay? Solutions don't require thinking outside the box entirely, but having a darker sense of humor would certainly benefit your progress without a doubt. Nobody's going to outright beat the hobo with the crowbar immediately.

Telltale Games has been rolling out numerous adventure and puzzle games as of late, like the aforementioned Nelson Tethers: Puzzle Agent, and they have been working on an upcoming Jurassic Park adventure title in the style of Heavy Rain, as well as announcing work on adapting Law & Order: LA to video games.

It's good to see the adventure genre is making a come back and Telltale is a company that's doing a good job at leading the charge. Game Rant is looking forward to what else the company has in store for the gaming public.

Hector: Badge of Carnage will be releasing April 27, 2011 for PC, iPod and iPad.
