The promotions for Disney Plus and Marvel Studios’ upcoming series Hawkeye are picking up steam and the latest teaser trailer reveals more action and a detailed look at an important character. Fans see Jeremy Renner's Clint Barton meeting Vera Farmiga's Eleanor Bishop for the first time, and the conversation that takes place during the scene is quite an interesting one.

In the new Hawkeye trailer, Eleanor is seen questioning Barton over her daughter Kate Bishop's involvement in the mission that he is on. It is revealed that Kate is helping Barton with an “Avengers-level threat.” In true Marvel style, the scene cuts off there and nothing more is revealed. Kate does confess that Barton is her partner, with the latter quickly jumping in to correct her, as it was a “kind of a stretch.”

It is already known that Clint Barton and Kate Bishop will team up in the series and will have to fight a threat from Barton’s past. But, the latest teaser makes it seem like the threat will be much bigger than what fans expected so far. The new trailer also offers a look at some new action sequences to feature in the series, which promise a lot of exploding vehicles and “trick arrows.”

It seems obvious that Kate Bishop is on a journey to become the next big superhero, but Barton is a little apprehensive. He is seen telling her that being a superhero means putting your life in danger. But, the 22-year-old has her quirky responses ready and refers to herself as the “world’s greatest archer.” It will be interesting for fans to see the camaraderie between the two heroes, as Bishop might just be the perfect companion for Hawkeye.

Marvel Studios' Hawkeye arrives on Disney Plus in just a few weeks, with the first two episodes being premiered at the same time. This will be the fifth series in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, and What If...? already out. The Marvel Studios series that have premiered on Disney Plus so far have been received well by audiences, so Hawkeye has a high benchmark to achieve.

The Phase 4 series have all been interconnected with the main MCU timeline in some way, and it has already been revealed that Hawkeye will follow the events of Avengers: Endgame. It remains to be seen how it will impact the MCU, and what Bishop’s role will be moving forward.

Hawkeye premieres on Disney Plus on November 24, 2021.
