Hawkeye star Hailee Steinfeld recently confirmed whether or not her character Kate Bishop survived the "snap event" during the Avengers: Infinity War finale. While her character hadn't been introduced when the film premiered and only just now debuted on Hawkeye, fans were curious to know what the talented archer was up to prior to her MCU introduction.

Kate Bishop is a character from the comic books who, similarly to Clint Barton/Hawkeye, has a very impressive talent for archery. The character is also part of the Young Avengers in the comic book storylines and she is a really good person to have on the team. Thus far, Hawkeye reviews praise Steinfeld's performance as Kate Bishop.

Of course, like most new MCU characters who were introduced after Avengers: Endgame, fans previously had no idea if Kate Bishop was one of the billions wiped out of existence by Thanos in Infinity War. "No, I believe that we see her survive and we see, you know, loss there as well," Steinfeld said during an interview with The Wrap. "And that didn’t happen to her." Steinfeld's comment that "we see" Kate Bishop survive the blip suggests fans will get a glimpse at what Kate Bishop was doing in between Infinity War and Endgame. At this time, Thanos' decimation is the most recent worldwide catastrophe in the MCU, but the emergence of an Avengers-level threat in Hawkeye could change that.

Steinfield appears very attached to the role of Kate Bishop. Before Hawkeye started filming, she made sure to learn archery in order to make her character appear as authentic as possible. All of the work looks to be paying off, as reviews for Hawkeye are very solid at this point. Hopefully the show continues to deliver as it releases every week.

Time will tell what the new main threat in the MCU will be now that Thanos is gone, but it doesn't need to be a universe-ending threat. For example, Venom 2's Carnage is bent on taking over all of Earth, so a character like that is a very big threat to all of human existence. Even though he doesn't have the Infinity Stones or a sinister plan for other planets, he's still very much something to take seriously.

As Marvel Studios continues to take the storyline to different parts of its universe, fans will see many different aspects of the world. Right now, Marvel Studios is really taking the story more into the cosmos, then they're going to dive into the supernatural, and there will be a combination of many different storylines all in one. This means there will be a new threat around every single corner.

Hawkeye is currently streaming on Disney Plus.
