Hawkeye is the next Marvel Studios show that will debut on Disney Plus, and it will be the titular hero's first solo outing away from the Avengers. Critics got an early look at the first two episodes of Hawkeye and had only good things to say about the show, especially when it comes to Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop.

Kate Bishop will be introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in Marvel Studios' Hawkeye. While promoting the show, Steinfeld has discussed how much work she put in in order to play the role, particularly when it comes to mastering the art of archery.

She wanted to learn archery in order to make her portrayal look as authentic as possible, which will be nice for the fans who are excited to see Bishop, Hawkeye, and their trusted canine companion Lucky the Pizza dog in action. Based on first reactions to Hawkeye, it looks like the time Steinfield put into her character has paid off, as many are praising her portrayal of Kate Bishop. The actress was praised for the humor and the "determination" she brings to her character. Bishop really wants to be a superhero, and as a kid, it takes a lot of courage to put herself in danger.

The praise for Hawkeye draws comparisons to Marvel's other street-level crime fighters such as Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist. Hawkeye and Kate Bishop don't have super-powered abilities, which is why they are being compared to the heroes of Marvel's now-canceled Netflix shows. Many people loved the Marvel shows on Netflix because there were stakes, plus it was darker and way more grounded than the MCU movies.

A lot of the former or current Avengers didn't choose this life of being a hero. For many, it chose them, and with the exception of Spider-Man, they were full-fledged adults when they became an Avenger. Bishop joins a growing list of young superheroes being introduced to MCU and one of a handful who actually wants to be a superhero. If Marvel truly decides to do a Young Avengers project, then fans shouldn't be surprised to see Steinfield return.

Hawkeye will be set during the holiday season, which will fit perfectly for when the show actually releases. The end of November is the perfect time to release a holiday-themed show, and it looks like Marvel is capitalizing on this as these two heroes try to save the holidays.

Hawkeye debuts on Disney Plus on November 24th, 2021.
