The first three episodes of Marvel Studios’ Hawkeye are streaming on Disney Plus and fans have been analyzing one particular scene to see the consistency in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The scene in question features Jeremy Renner's Clint Barton, a.k.a. Hawkeye, during the Battle of New York. Fans will remember this sequence from 2012’s The Avengers, and if they can’t seem to recall, one Marvel fan has decided to synchronize the scenes and share it on social media.

Towards the beginning of the first episode of Hawkeye, Kate Bishop’s backstory is presented, which offers fans a look at why she chose to pick up a bow and arrow. The latest character to join the MCU witnesses the Battle of New York, and her perspective of the sequence of events is quite an interesting watch.

But what’s more interesting is the consistency with which Marvel Studios delivers the scene, as compared to the original in The Avengers, and this is clearly visible in the fan-made video. The scene in Hawkeye shows Bishop in her home, looking for a board game, when the walls suddenly begin to shake. It is obvious that an attack is taking place outside, with characters whizzing past her room’s window and explosions heard in the distance. With the scene set in New York in 2012, fans immediately make the connection to the epic battle in The Avengers.

As Bishop looks out the window, Barton saves her life by shooting a fast-approaching Chitauri. This is when Bishop sees him jumping off of a building and using his bow and arrow to secure his landing. She is clearly fascinated by the entire sequence of events before her mother, Vera Farmiga's Eleanor, grabs her and escapes the crumbling building. A Marvel fan has stitched both clips from The Avengers and Hawkeye together, which puts on display the similarities between both despite being produced almost a decade apart.

The side-by-side videos from The Avengers and Hawkeye highlight the specific sequence when Barton is forced to escape an explosion. The only way to safety is jumping off the building, and before he even does so in the Hawkeye scene, fans already know what to expect from his landing. But, it is quite interesting to see how both scenes mostly align, in terms of the timing and events. The production team obviously thought about the scene before filming and producing it in order to ensure consistency. Keen-eyed fans are always ready to highlight the continuity issues in MCU projects, but it is tough to do so in case of Hawkeye.
