The Nintendo Switch's library of demos just got a bit bigger with Hatsune Miku: Project Diva MegaMix. While maybe not as meaty or in-depth as, say, Bravely Default 2's demo, it's sure to make long-time fans of the cyan-haired virtual singer happy and perfectly show off the game's rhythm action and new gimmicks.

The big takeaway, though, is that the demo also confirms the game's release date. It will be dropping on May 15th as a digital download. This does mean that there will be no physical copies of the game, which is a tad disappointing as it was released physically in Japan.

However, it will come with over 100 songs, most of which being classic favourites from previous titles. Fans can not only pre-order the game now, but there are already six DLC packs that come with six songs each and a free pack that will be made available at launch.

While the game can be played with traditional button controls, it being a Switch exclusive means it comes with a separate motion-control mode, where the songs can be played by twisting the Joy-Cons.

At the time of writing, some Switch users have reported that their accounts have been breached, so if anyone hasn't already been made aware, we recommend enabling Two Factor Authentication in order to keep their accounts safe and not be subjected to unwanted purchases or their personal information being leaked.

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva MegaMix will release on Nintendo Switch on May 15th.
