After two years of waiting, Harry Potter fans can finally jump into the Pokemon GO-inspired Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. Players have already finished their schooling at Hogwarts in the game, so they have to choose a Wizarding World profession, which is essentially the class that they'll play. Each class has its own pros and cons, and so it's important for Harry Potter: Wizards Unite fans to think carefully before deciding which class they will be focusing on.

In Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, there are three professions for players to choose from. Each profession has its own mentor associated with it in the form of an iconic Harry Potter series character. For example, Aurors will be mentored by Harry Potter himself, whereas Magizoologists will be mentored by Rubeus Hagrid. Professors, meanwhile, are led by none other than Minerva McGonagall.

Players will be able to select their Profession in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite once they reach level 6.

Auror

Aurors in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite will likely be the most popular class in the game. They are the DPS of Wizards Unite, able to deal more damage than the other Professions, though this comes at a health cost. Aurors are strong against Dark Forces, but weak against Beasts.

Magizoologist

Magizoologists have been described as a combo tank/healer class in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. They have a lot of health and focus on buffing the rest of the team. Magizoologists are strong against Beasts, but weak against Curiosities.

Professor

Professors are a mix of Aurors and Magizoologists. They have buffing spells, but they can also function effectively in DPS roles. For someone looking for an all-around class in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, Professors may be the way to go. Professors are strong against Curiosities, but weak against Dark Forces.

Which Profession to Pick in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite?

Choosing a Profession in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is not a decision that's set in stone. In fact, players can basically switch between Professions at will, but we don't recommend going this route. If players don't focus on powering up one Profession, they will be unable to level it properly using Scrolls and Spellbooks and be truly effective in their role. Therefore, at least in the beginning of the game, we recommend players choose one of the Professions to master.

Harry Potter: Wizards Unite players may want to experiment a bit with the Professions to see which one works best for them, and they will also want to coordinate with the people they're going to play the game with so that they can have a balanced team to complete the Fortresses.
