Harry Potter: Wizards Unite has a Spell Energy problem. The limiting resource is meant to be what keeps players heading out to Inns and Greenhouses, but instead a lot of players are just calling it quits with the app once they realize Spell Energy doesn't naturally regenerate over time. For players who decide to stick it out with Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, increased Spell Energy capacity is essential to making sure this limiting resource doesn't interrupt play time.

Spell Energy is roughly the equivalent to Pokeballs in Pokemon GO. Anyone who is familiar with that game can tell you that increasing your Pokeball storage is one of the best ways to spend your coins. An increased storage allows you to take a few quick laps around a densely active zone and load up on enough Pokeballs (or in this case Spell Energy) so that you won't quickly run out when you're away from city areas for a few hours.

Once you've mastered the ways to earn Spell Energy, now it's time to learn how you can increase your Spell Energy Capacity... Hopefully without spending any more real world money than necessary.

Claim Daily Rewards

The key to increasing Spell Capacity lies in spending Gold so players will want to earn as much of the in-game currency as possible without opening their wallets. Witches and Wizards who open their Daily Rewards for 15 days can get 150 coins. That doesn't seem like a lot, but it's going to add up over time.

Purchase Vault Extensions

There are two ways to purchase Spell Energy capacity increases, but shoppers who want the most bang for their buck will probably opt for the Vault Extensions. This microtransaction is more expensive, currently 475 Gold, but provides 10 Spell Energy Capacity, 30 Ingredient and 10 Potion capacity. The bundle makes it about 25 Gold cheaper than if you were to buy those items a la carte.

Purchase Spell Energy Capacity Upgrades

The cheaper, and more direct method, costs 150 Gold and increases the Energy Capacity by 10.

It's pretty annoying to have to manage these purchases just to get full enjoyment out of the free-to-play game, but players who are enjoying the rest of the experience will likely have an even better time once their capacity is increased and they don't have to constantly worry about running out of their 75 Spell Energy.
