Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, like most free-to-play games, features its own in-game currency that is used to make various purchases, such as increasing maximum spell energy. Luckily, there are multiple ways to get coins in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, and only one of them requires players to use real money.

Players can purchase more coins in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite by visiting the Diagon Alley in-game store. As can be expected, spending real money is how players can get the most coins as fast as possible, but as previously mentioned, there are ways to get coins in-game without having to break out the wallet.

1. Log In Bonus

Harry Potter: Wizards Unite players can get coins by simply playing the game every day. There is a daily log-in bonus that grants players a new reward each day of the month that they open the app, which includes coins. Based on the first month of rewards, it seems like players should be able to net themselves around 240 extra coins per month using this method. And since it only costs 150 coins to increase the max spell energy capacity, players should be able to do so with minimal effort.

2. Assignments

Another way to earn coins in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is by completing Assignments. Assignments fall under multiple categories, with Daily Assignments that change every day, Special Assignments (that aren't in the game at launch), Achievements that task players with completing specific tasks, and SOS Assignments that advance the story. One of the main driving points of Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is completing all of the Assignments, so players should be able to earn a decent amount of coins by just playing the game.

3. Leveling Up

Whenever Harry Potter: Wizards Unite players level up in the game, they get rewards. Sometimes these rewards can include coins, so while they're out completing Assignments, players should be earning XP that will in turn allow them to level up and get even more gold coins.

As long as Harry Potter: Wizards Unite players play the game on a fairly consistent basis, they should be able to amass a healthy collection of coins without having to spend real money.
