She is a force to be reckoned with as she is fiercely loyal to her loved ones, and she has proved it countless times without hesitation.

Hermione is also a strong advocate for justice and equality as she always fights against injustice and stands up for what is right. Her magical skills are unparalleled, and she is the master of spells and incantations, and she can also brew a potion or two. Hermoine Granger is the ultimate Hogwarts hero for various reasons.

8 Encourages Others

Hermione Granger has been an encouraging character for her friends, motivating them to take the next step in all circumstances. She encouraged Harry Potter in multiple ways throughout their journey to defeat Voldemort as she always pushed him when he felt down.

One such instance was when Harry was left alone with no one by his side when he was competing for the Goblet. However, Hermione went beyond their differences and secretly went to meet Harry. She cared about him and encouraged him to take on his first challenge in the fight for the Goblet of Fire.

Hermione’s golden friendship with Ron and Harry started with fighting a troll and with just actions, she encouraged Ron to “swish and flick” to cast the spell of levitation, leading to the troll's defeat. She also helped Neville with his spells and incantations as she was an intelligent witch, encouraging him to do his best every time he failed.

7 Stands Up For Justice

Hermione Granger might be scared of flying and not giving exams, but she will never be scared to stand up for what is right. There are a plethora of examples of Hermione not being afraid to stand for justice and fight for it. Something that was missing from the movies is the time when Hermione stood up for Elves' rights. She learned about their mistreatment and the many things they have to suffer without pay and became a strong advocate for the same.

Hermione tries her best to make others see the importance of treating all creatures with the same respect and dignity. She inspires her friends, bringing them in on the good cause, in her efforts to improve the life of house elves. Speaking of creatures, she was also extremely scared of going anywhere near Buckbeak, but she not only drew him in with some food but also rode on him.

6 Overcomes Her Fears

Hermione Granger is the ultimate hero because she can overcome her own fears for the sake of others. She was afraid of breaking the rules, but she eventually began to break all of them at once and understood when something was necessary, rules can be broken. Her fear of breaking the rules can be clearly seen in the first book itself when the trio accidentally ended up together, out of bed, late at night, and at an extremely dangerous place.

In Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Hermione is scared of breaking the rules and especially flying. Although it might not seem like a big deal, Hermione overcoming her fear enough to save Sirius, who she did not even know except as Harry’s Godfather, shows her will to overcome anything that comes her way to help her friends. Hermione and Harry rode over the hippogriff they saved, Buckbeak, broke into the prison to save Sirius, and flew back.

5 Speaks Her Mind

Hermione Punches Draco

Hermione Granger is not just beautiful and brains, she can also give someone a piece of her mind. Her sassy demeanor is exciting to watch as she has called out characters multiple times for their sheer stupidity. In the first book and movie, Hermione famously corrects Ron on his wrong pronunciation of “Leviosa”.

She has even called out Ron for having an emotional range of a teaspoon while scaring Draco off with her words as well as actions. Hermione also yelled at Harry and Ron for making her go back and forth when they were not talking to each other. She even calls herself out for being “stupid” just because she could not find a book that neither Harry nor Ron even knew existed. Hermione called out Draco for “buying his way in” to his Quidditch team. She has even called out Professor Trelawney and literally kicked off the “Magic Ball”.

4 Bravery

Hermione Granger is one of the bravest witches in the Harry Potter Universe. When Hermione found out that the creature that is petrifying everybody is a basilisk, she did not even wait to tell Harry and Ron but jumped on to look through the pipes. Her act of bravery is unmatched by even Harry and Ron at that time. She has taken multiple steps of bravery that are worthy of acknowledgment.

Hermione eventually even puts her life at risk to go with Harry to find and destroy all the Horcruxes to defeat Voldemort. She even destroyed one of the Horcruxes with a basilisk fang, willing to take whatever was to come to save her friend and the wizarding world. Let's not forget when she punched Draco after calling him a foul cockroach.

3 True Leader

Hermione emerged as a natural leader eventually as she went from being a know-it-all, rule-following little student, to leading Harry, Ron, and many others. She flourished into a woman who can lead as she came up with most of the ideas to save as well as find the answers to multiple questions. She was the one who found out about the basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets and led herself to look for it.

Hermione was also the one who came up with the idea to make up a Polyjuice potion to look for answers. She was the one who created Dumbledore’s army in retaliation to the Ministry of Magic and their efforts to seal away the truth of Voldemort’s return.

Hermione even took the lead and turned back time to save Sirius and Buckbeak. She even found a way out of the Gringotts Bank by jumping on the back of a dragon. Hermione was the one who planned their entire hiatus to the woods after Death Eaters' started snooping around. She took the lead and brought Ron and Harry far and wide, giving them enough time to destroy the Horcruxes.

2 Emotional Strength

Hermione erases parents memory

Hermione is not just a badass, but she also has immense emotional strength. She made her Muggle parents forget her before leaving for finding the Horcruxes to keep them safe when the war breaks out. The amount of pain and emotions she might have gone through to make her own parents forget about her existence must have taken a village of emotional strength to even think of.

She also did not go after Ron when he left Harry after an altercation. Hermione was in love with him, and he was the only family she had left. Watching him leave willingly must have hurt her, however, she continued to help her and Harry without even saying a word or complaining.

1 Loyalty

Hermione's loyalty came in with the very first book and movie when she took the blame for coming after the troll, instead of blaming Ron and Hermione. This moment was what struck a chord and the trio became inseparable. Hermione has broken several rules to help Harry and Ron multiple times proving her loyalty towards them.

When Dolores Umbridge was manipulating and tormenting the students, she used her wit to lie, not only showcasing her loyalty towards her friends but also to Dumbledore and Hogwarts. She has also been tortured and tormented by Bellatrix Lestrange to the point where she could not even look up, but she never uttered a word about Harry or their plans.

Hermione is proof that heroism is not always conjuring a spell or a battle or even picking up a sword. Heroism also means using intelligence to save friends, family, and the wizarding world, while also being loyal, and standing up for the right things, making her the ultimate Hogwarts Hero.
