With news surrounding the heavily rumored Harry Potter RPG once again swirling, it seems fans are more excited than ever to experience a large, multifaceted role-playing experience set within the walls of Hogwarts castle. It's an experience that most of the Harry Potter video games have not been able to provide thus far, with most following the plot of the movies or being tied to a mobile game. It seems the wait for an all-encompassing Harry Potter RPG might just be over, however, with a mod offering franchise fans the opportunity to finally become a witch or wizard.

The Floo Network, a team of incredibly talented modders, has finally achieved its longstanding goal of bringing the world of Harry Potter into Minecraft, with the team launching an intricate mod titled Witchcraft and Wizardry that allows players to enroll and study at Hogwarts. As if fans need any more convincing, the team has also provided an incredible video encouraging players to download the mod.

The footage shows off just how much there is to do and see throughout the player's journey in the Harry Potter world, displaying Diagon Alley complete with a moving brick wall, the snowy streets of Hogsmeade, and, of course, the spectacular vistas of Hogwarts castle. However, these aren't just for show. The video also highlights a ton of activities located throughout the castle, with the player catching mandrakes, battling trolls, attending classes, learning spells, completing challenges, and even flying a broom. On top of that, a number of familiar Harry Potter faces show up, with Hagrid even having a conversation with the player as they wander the school grounds.

Evidently a ton of work has gone into making Witchcraft and Wizardry into a fully-fledged and deeply immersive unofficial adventure in the Harry Potter universe. With so many fans waiting to see whether the rumored Harry Potter RPG comes to fruition, this undeniably a fantastic alternative that allows players to finally experience what a densely packed role-playing adventure in the popular universe could entail.

It seems Witchcraft and Wizardry only stacks on top of the amazing reasons to be a Minecraft fan right now, with a spinoff title called Dungeons and a number of incredible visual upgrades coming to the game in the near future. With so many players stuck at home currently waiting for quarantine to subside, it seems there's no better time to get stuck into the near limitless content that Minecraft offers.

Minecraft is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, along with many older platforms.
