Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery players have had a lot of content to get through lately. Developer Jam City has introduced Year 4 Chapters 15 and 16, for instance, allowing players to progress through the story and keep adventuring in the halls of Hogwarts (and the surrounding areas). Soon, though, fans will have even more story content to enjoy according to the Year 5 plans that have leaked online.

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery has many fans who are committed to datamining, including a dedicated Discord group that goes through the files in the game's updates and discovering new info. The latest datamine has uncovered lots of details about the Year 5 content headed to the game, including outlines for new Hogwarts classes to take part in as well as the outlines for Year 5 Chapter 1 - 6.

According to the datamined info, in Year 5 Chapter 1, an NPC called Beatrice will give the protagonist a sewed, toy Puffskein as a show of admiration. Later, players will have to perform the Incarcerous Spell on a classmate and antagonist Merula Snyde before having to free her.

Meanwhile, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery Year 5 Chapter 3 will see someone use their connections in Knockturn Alley to understand an unspecified situation. Then, Chapter 4 sees players team up with Merula to rescue Beatrice. Year 5 Chapters 5 and 6 mention the Forgetfulness Potion, someone getting stuck in a portrait, as well as the chance to get the Marauder's Map.

In terms of new Hogwarts classes, it seems that Year 5 will see players learning charms such as the Pack Charm (packs items into a trunk), Trip Jinx (makes people fall over), and Aguamenti (produces a stream of drinkable water). Transfiguration will teach players to turn a piggy bank into a guinea pig, Potions will teach players the polyjuice potion, and Herbology will teach players about gillyweed which lets someone breathe underwater.

Additionally, there's mention of something called the Animagus Event which will see players collect items in order to brew the animagus potion. Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery has hosted several timed events recently, including Hogwarts Rocks!. But it's unclear whether the Animagus Event would be a similar, timed affair.

It's also unclear when Year 5 will be released in the game, but fans will no doubt welcome it with open arms. New chapters have entertained players for a short amount of time and features such as Friend Encounters have kept people occupied. But have also been asking for something a little more substantial and it seems that with Year 5, Jam City is finally ready to deliver.

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is available on Android and iOS devices.
