Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery players have been playing Year 5 in the game for quite some time now, and while story updates have been slow, the game has added quite a few other features in the meantime, like the ability to adopt and feed magical creatures through Magizoology. We're still unsure when Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery's Year 5 will come to an end, but it does seem as though developer Jam City is teasing yet another new feature.

On the official Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery Facebook page, Jam City has posted an image of what appears to be part of a Patronus. For the uninitiated, the Patronus Charm in the Harry Potter series allows witches and wizards to summon a silver animal guardian, primarily in defense of Dementors. It's possible that this image is a clue that a Patronus-themed event could be coming to Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery in the near future, but that's just speculation at this time.

Historically speaking, Jam City has released some of the game's more popular charms, spells, and abilities through limited-time events or side quests. For example, the Animagus quest in Hogwarts Mystery gave players the chance to transform into an animal of their choosing, though it was not part of the main story.

Again, we don't know if that will be the case with the Patronus charm once it's introduced in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, but it will be interesting to see how it's incorporated in the mobile game. It's likely that Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery players will have some choice when it comes to what their Patronus looks like, though what options they will have to choose from remain to be seen.

Besides the possible addition of the Patronus Charm in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, fans of the mobile game also have the end of Year 5 to look forward to in the future. Since students only spend seven years at Hogwarts, some have guessed that Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery will allow players to keep playing after their school days are over, but Jam City hasn't revealed any information on that front either way.

In the meantime, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery fans can continue looking forward to updates on a near-weekly basis.
