"Our goal with Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is to make players really feel for the first time like they're attending Hogwarts," explained Jam City CEO Chris DeWolfe. According to DeWolfe, bringing back the cast of the movies to do voice work on the game will go a long way in accomplishing that goal.

Besides confirming the game's voice cast, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery also got a release date. As confirmed by Jam City, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery will launch on April 25 for both iOS and Android mobile devices. Unlike some other big-name mobile releases, it won't have any timed-exclusivity deal with either major platform.

As for what fans can expect from Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, it looks to bring an authentic Harry Potter gaming experience to mobile devices. The game is set prior to the events of the book series, and allows players to create their own character and attend classes at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The narrative will apparently be driven by player choice, so it will be interesting to see how fans can influence the story once the game releases later this month.
