The most recent update for Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery added the usual content that fans expect. Year 5 Chapter 7 was finally added, in addition to a new in-game event that lets players unlock a unique toad skin. For some players, the update also accidentally revealed a new area that will be coming as part of a different update in the future - a place called the Magical Creatures Reserve.

Some Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery fans were able to take a look at the Magical Creatures Reserve before Jam City removed it from the game. The Magical Creatures Reserve is going to be a new major area, featuring different sub-areas that players can explore as well. The sub-areas are as follows: Grasslands, Forest, Dark Forest, Lake, Rocky Mountains, and Volcanic Pasture.

Luckily, Reddit user blaiseivy was able to capture some footage of the Magical Creatures Reserve area before its removal. Take a look at the Magical Creatures Reserve coming to Hogwarts Mystery right here:

At this point, it's unclear exactly when the Magical Creatures Reserve will actually be added to the game. After all, fans are still waiting for Jam City to add Diagon Alley, despite the fact that it's been in the locations list for months. The Magical Creatures Reserve doesn't even show up as a locked option, so fans may have an especially long wait ahead of them before they can visit it properly.

On the other hand, it's possible that the Magical Creatures Reserve is part of some tie-in content with the upcoming film Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, which is set to release in theaters in a couple of weeks. It would make sense for Hogwarts Mystery to capitalize on the new movie's hype with some tie-in content, and since movie protagonist Newt Scamander is a magical creatures expert, it's fitting that this new area is the Magical Creatures Reserve.

Before fans get too excited though, that's just speculation. We'll just have to wait for Jam City to be ready to share more concrete information before we can be sure.

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is out now for iOS and Android mobile devices.
