Year 5 Chapter 3 still has yet to be added to Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, but in the meantime, Jam City has added some new content to keep fans busy while they wait. This new content includes a side quest about Hagrid's birthday, and better yet, it seems to be available to almost every player.

The limited-time side quest is called Happy Birthday, Hagrid! and Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery players have about three days to complete it. It's broken down into four parts, each part having a variety of objectives that players have to complete in order to proceed to the next part of the quest.

After completing each part of the side quest, players will unlock special rewards. Completing the first two parts of the quest will unlock coins, whereas completing the third part of the quest will unlock gems. If players manage to complete all four parts of the Happy Birthday, Hagrid! side quest before the timer runs out, then they will unlock an exclusive cosmetic item for their troubles.

Chronologically, the Happy Birthday, Hagrid! side quest appears to take place during Year 1, as it unlocks a new charm spell for Year 1 students called Charm to Cure Reluctant Reversers. Players are able to learn this new spell without getting stars in a classroom, so it's a bit easier to obtain than usual. Plus, the reward for learning the spell is five gems, so it's very much worth it for Hogwarts Mystery players to give this side quest a go.

There's some other evidence for this side quest taking place during Year 1 as well. For example, players encounter various dialogue options that require very low Attribute levels to unlock, and they also take part in duels against especially weak opponents. In fact, someone that is caught up to the story in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery should be able to win these duels with a single spell.

Besides this new Hagrid-themed side quest, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery players have other new content to sift through that was added in the latest update, including the House Pride event as well as new pets to adopt. And while fans are likely appreciative of this new content, many are hoping that next Thursday will finally see the release of Year 5 Chapter 3.
