In the world of cosplay, there is no better couple to replicate than Harry and Ginny from Harry Potter. There have been countless recreations of the magical power couple, but cosplayers Leslie The Mermaid and Johnny The Alchemist have perhaps created the most realistic and identifiable version yet.
And what better way for a fan to show their love and support for their favorite franchise than to dress up as their favorite characters and head off to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando Florida’s Universal Studios? The cosplayer Leslie The Mermaid posted this incredible look with her and Johnny The Alchemist in full Gryffindor attire from head to toe. The friends already have a striking resemblance to the characters, but in costume the look is complete.
Before J. K. Rowling was even finished writing the series, it was already snatched up to be made into a Harry Potter movie franchise. And what a great decision on Warner Bros. Pictures’ part, because the Harry Potter world is now one of the most successful franchises of all time, even getting its own theme park where fans from all over the world can come and live out their wizarding fantasies. The cosplayers took a photo in the franchise famous candy shop called Honeydukes, where they shared a fun moment.
The friends look stunning in front of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and they share a couple of Butterbeers while looking like a grown-up and model-esque version of the characters. Butterbeer is the famous and highly desired beverage of those 18 and older in the Harry Potter series, but at Universal Studios, fans can get a nonalcoholic and tasty version of this drink in stylish mugs.
Fans can also take a ride on the Hogwarts Express, which will transport them between the two theme parks. That last photo of the cosplayers was taken in front of the train, with the steam from the engine surrounding them in a magical mist with dim lighting to add to the ambiance. The are many characters in Harry Potter who have an iconic look, and these cosplayers show that fans are never too old to dress up and feel like a star. Now that the pandemic is getting under control, fans can once again visit the best theme park for Harry Potter enthusiasts.
Both cosplayers seem to have an affinity for Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley, as it is not the first time the two have been seen together in Gryffindor attire, and it probably won’t be the last. As Leslie The Mermaid said in her post, the inspiration for the cosplay came from timing, as September is just around the corner—better known as the start of the school term for the young wizards and witches of the world. It is great to show love and support for Harry Potter by dressing up in character, and these cosplayers can serve as inspiration for countless other fans to live out their fantasies.
