James Gunn's highly anticipated DCEU film The Suicide Squad is coming to theatres this summer, and fans are excited to see the Guardians of the Galaxy director's unique take on these infamous characters. One of those characters is everyone's favorite baseball bat-wielding psychopath Harley Quinn. While fans will have to wait a few more months for the film's release, they can check out this awesome cosplayer, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Harley Quinn actress Margot Robbie.

Even though Harley Quinn was first introduced as The Joker's sidekick/lover, the character has gained a lot of independence in the years since her debut in Batman: The Animated SeriesDespite some fans romanticizing their relationship to this day, many were quick to point out that they were essentially in an abusive relationship. Thankfully Harley has broken up with the Joker several times both on the page and on screen.

Despite being one of the only DC characters to debut in an animated TV series rather than a comic book, Harley Quinn continues to be a very popular character amongst fans. Batman superfan Kevin Smith even named his daughter after the character. She's appeared across numerous comic books, movies, TV Show, toys, and video games. Recently the character made a return to the world of animated television in the aptly titled HBO Max series Harley Quinnwhich is set to premiere its third season sometime in 2021.

Quinn made her live-action debut in the first Suicide Squad film where she was portrayed by Australian actress Margot Robbie, who went on to reprise the role in the 2020 film Harley Quinn: Birds of PreyRobbie will portray the female anti-hero for the third time in Gunn's upcoming sequel. Ever since she made her live-action debut Harley Quinn has become a very popular character for cosplayers. Back when comic conventions were still a thing, there could be dozens of cosplayers replicating her costumes from both the films and the animated series, as can be seen with this particular cosplayer who goes by the name costumekenz.

The costume worn in this photo is reminiscent of the one seen in David Ayer's much-maligned 2016 film Suicide Squad. While that film received generally unfavorable reviews from audiences and critics alike, it's still the first time fans got to see Harley Quinn adapted in live-action. This is an incredibly impressive costume, it looks nearly identical to the one worn by Robbie in Suicide Squad, and it doesn't hurt that costumekenz looks just like the actress. Anyone browsing costumekenz's Instagram will be treated to more impressive costumes of comic book and movie characters such as Wonder Woman wearing the armor from Wonder Woman 1984, Wanda Maximoff from Wandavision, and even Captain Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies

The Suicide Squad premieres in theatres and on HBO Max on August 6th, 2021.
