Almost everyone has thought about being a pirate, sailing the high seas, and collecting treasure. Real pirates did not really go on treasure hunts, instead, they opted to take this treasure from other ships. Imagine the same thing, but this time, in the vastness of space. This is the experience that Hardspace: Shipbreaker is offering to gamers. While there may be no intergalactic space wars to participate in, Hardspace: Shipbreaker shows just how much fun can be getting from raiding and taking ships apart.

There are a few ship classes that can be explored and dismantled in Hardspace: Shipbreaker. As choice is always a great thing to have, these bring hours and hours of really great fun, as well as a bunch to do. This simulation game may be a tactical and strategic undertaking at first glance for some people. Still, it becomes much easier to understand as time progresses. One of the things to know for both new and old players is all about the ships. A proper ranking of the ships available for exploration in the game is another great tool each player needs.

5 Mackerel

This ship is the smallest available in Hardspace: Shipbreaker. The Mackerel is often the first ship that players encounter as it is used to teach them what to do. While this ship can be used for scientific exploits, the main use of this ship is for transportation. It transports people as well as cargo. Just like the other ships available to players, the Mackerel comes in variants. The four variants of this small ship are Light Cargo, Heavy Cargo, Station Hopper, and Exo lab.

It is not difficult to see why this is a favorite among beginners. Thanks to its compact size, players are not overwhelmed by all they have to salvage. However, as the game progresses and more ships are unlocked, gamers tend to tilt towards much larger ships. This is because bigger ships than the Mackerel give a lot more to do, but this still takes nothing from this small ship.

4 Javelin

This is the next ship available in the campaign mode of Hardship: Spacebreaker, just after the Mackerel. It is a really long and large ship, much more than its predecessor. The Javelin is mainly used for large cargo, as well as a fuel hold. This is not a very easy ship, but still compels players.

The two variants of the Javelin are the Refueling and Heavy Cargo. Long-time players of Hardship: Spacebreaker love to take this ship apart. This salvageable ship is a valuable part of the game and will provide fun experiences for players, either rookie or veteran.

3 Atlasatlas tugged hardship spacebreaker

The Atlas is an incredible ship. Its name should give an inkling of its sheer size. The Atlas stands as the largest out of all the salvageable ships in Hardspace: Shipbreaker. The Atlas is a pretty complex ship, with its main use being industrial. It is one of the last ships to be unlocked and when it is unlocked, players quickly understand why it is this way.

This ship, thanks to its huge size, gives players much more to do than most of the other ships available in Hardspace: Shipbreaker. The complexities may be a problem, but it is often a fun one, as there is more to get from salvaging such a ship. This undertaking is fun to watch too. The three variants of the Atlas are Nomad Cargo Hauler, Scout Patrol Craft, and the Roustabout Tug.

2 Gecko

This is for the more experienced player who is looking for a sense of danger and intensity. The Gecko was one of the very first ships in the game from the early releases, and it has held its own to date.

This reactor ship can be accessed in the campaign. The four variants of the Gecko are Salvage Runner, Heavy Cargo, Station Hopper, and Stargazer. This ship may be a difficult one, but it is a fascinating one and gamers can be assured of so much fun.

1 Polaris

In terms of vastness, no ship quite comes close to the Polaris. This is the unsalvageable ship of the game, as opposed to the others. It is incredibly large, much bigger than even the Atlas. Players find themselves with so many hours of play thanks to this freighter as they try to beat the game.

While most new players may feel a little intimidated by this enormous offering, the Polaris is more of an asset than an obstacle. As players start to look for more things to do, there is hardly any better than the Polaris. This ship soon becomes the home of many avid gamers looking to spend a lot of time enjoying the game they love.

Hardspace: Shipbreaker is currently available on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
