Halo is a franchise that has persisted for nearly two decades and spans across several console generations. Serving as Xbox's flagship series since its inception, Halo has been an important part of Xbox's history and has taken on many forms since the release of Halo: Combat Evolved. Now, fans of the series can purchase Halo in soap form.

As the franchise has continued to grow over the years, Halo has expanded well past just video games. There have been several books written that highlight the extended universe of Halo, as well as numerous figures and statues based on in-game characters, there's even Halo themed Mega Construx kits. However, fans of the series now have the option to wash their bodies with Halo themed soap.

Over on YouTube, the online based soap brand Dr. Squatch released a trailer showcasing the company's new Halo scented soap bar, Spartan Scrub. The trailer itself possesses many of the same eccentricities that encompass other previous Dr. Squatch YouTube ads, but it honestly is very impressive to see Halo as a soap flavor. It's almost as bizarre as the Halo themed Pringles released earlier this year.

It's amazing to see just how far Halo has come since the early 2000s. Ten to fifteen years ago, soap based on a popular gaming franchise would have been unheard of, but now, crossovers like this are almost expected at this point. Considering that many big name brands are also getting involved with gaming, such as KFC releasing a dating sim, it seems video game based brand crossovers will grow to become even more commonplace.

With the release of Halo Infinite coming next month, it will be interesting to see what the finished product will have in store for its players. This will be the first mainline Halo installment released in over six years and many in the gaming community are already excited to see what the Halo Infinite campaign will be like, along with more refined game mechanics.

That said, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for Halo going forward from Halo Infinite. Back in June of 2021, it was revealed that 343 Industries intends to have Halo Infinite last over 10 years, but it begs to question whether or not the studio can keep audiences captivated for that long. Although, seeing as the game has yet to release, fans won't know for sure until it does.

Halo Infinite launches on December 8 for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
