Halo fans were struck with unfortunate news last year when it was announced that 343 Industries would be terminating the Xbox 360 servers for all Halo games. However, fans have continued to share their support for previous Halo games in a number of ways, from impromptu multiplayer celebrations to elaborate model renderings.

Though each installment remains available, the server shutdown enforces that functionality with multiplayer will be affected in Halo games on Xbox 360. Fortunately, dedicated Halo fans will still have the opportunity to play nearly every Halo game as part of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Many fans have been inspired to showcase impressive 3D models and other Halo creations based on the franchise's different installments. The latest fan creation is a helmet inspired by the character Jorge-052, or Noble Five, from Halo: Reach.

One fan, who goes by the username huragok_in_disguise, has designed a completely customizable helmet from Halo: Reach. The fan shares a time-lapse video of themselves assembling the helmet from assorted pieces that are custom made. Each piece seemingly snaps into place, but the design is certainly intricate and creates a quality product. Further, the fan has shared a link to their workshop website, where they claim the Grenadier helmet is their "most ambitious project to date."

Their workshop website provides an incredibly in-depth concept for their design, such as detailing the helmet's major features and assembly. The website also showcases a number of other Halo designs that the fan has created, such as Frag Grenades and a Halo: ODST helmet. It is clear that huragok_in_disguise wishes to share their custom design with other fans who may wish to create a similar helmet, and wants their design to be accessible to anyone.

Fans have since responded to huragok_in_disguise's helmet model, praising their work and inquiring about whether or not it is for sale. Halo's video game franchise is beloved, and fans' work in creating inspired pieces showcases great enthusiasm in light of the Xbox 360 server shutdowns. Interestingly, the upcoming Halo: Infinite is currently slated for a release window of Holiday 2021, placing its launch right around the time that Halo's Xbox 360 servers are sunsetting. Of course, Halo: Reach and other installments are still playable. But it is undoubtedly the end of an era for longtime fans.

Players may be arriving as new fans thanks to the packaged content in Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Rather, fans may have been around since Halo games were being released on Xbox 360. Either way, the celebration of Halo's franchise has inspired impressive fan-made designs, with Jorge-052's Grenadier helmet being the latest addition.

Halo: Reach is available for PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
