Halo developer 343 Industries is giving back to fans after fans gave back to them, in the form of a free pizza weapon skin in Halo 5. Anyone who signs into Halo 5 starting on March 17th will receive a complimentary Last Slice skin.

It all started earlier this week when 343 Industries announced that The Master Chief Collection will be coming to PC, and will also be adding Halo: Reach, which was not included in the original console release. Prior to the announcement, a Redditor by the name of "thewombinthesky" had stated that they would purchase 343 a pizza if they announced a PC version of The Master Chief Collection.

With the announcement confirmed, the Redditor kept their promise with many other fans jumping on board and ordering pizzas to have delivered at the developer's studio in Redmond, Washington. So much pizza was delivered that community manager Brian Jarrard took to Twitter to thank fans and to kindly ask that they stop sending Halo developer with pizza.

Then came this announcement today with 343 Industries making a gesture of gratitude within Halo 5 giving out the free Last Slice skin. Again, all players have to do to claim the weapon skin is log into the game online.

In addition to releasing The Master Chief Collection on PC, 343 Industries is busy developing Halo Infinite, the next major release in the Halo franchise. The game has been in development for some time, and there's a rumor that the game will be a launch title for the next Xbox console. While it's unknown if that rumor will pan out or even when exactly the game will release, the next time fans can count on seeing the game is at this year's E3 in June. The Master Chief Collection on PC has yet to be dated either but is promised to release later this year.

Halo 5 is available now exclusively on Xbox One.
