The ability of memes to get across points in a single image is something that probably won't be matched for many years, if ever. They just relate to so many real-life things that we see every day, not just appropriately, but in an incredibly funny way. That being said, there have been memes about everything, and that includes video game franchises.

The massive Halo franchise isn't an exception to this; in fact, in recent months we have seen an uptake in Halo memes. These memes point out the usually-serious franchise's more strange parts and, boy do we have some to show to you!

10 How Is This Possible

Halo vehicle flip meme

The Elephant was an interesting addition to the Sandlot custom games map in Halo 3. The Elephant was a unique vehicle to the map that was the largest and also the heaviest and slowest, in the whole game. Elephants are basically mobile bases contagion miniguns and their own scout vehicle with a mongoose. One would think that all this weight would make it impossible to flip over, but is in fact possible in-game, with a lot of explosives. What's even stranger is that it is possible to flip the elephant back to normal but even the game is surprised that it was flipped over in the first place.

9 Giving Them A Chance

Halo sniper tracer round meme

The sniper rifle is one of the most sought after weapons in the Halo franchise. It's long-range and it's powerful and the bullets also travel really fast with basically no bullet drop. This makes them a unique weapon in the franchise, where most guns are either a hit scan style, very quick but do very low damage comparatively per second or do a lot of damage but are slow, easy to see and even easier to dodge. The only thing is that with snipers being a stealth weapon, why is there a trail leading back to the shooter?

8 Heavy Handed

Halo two handed weapons meme

Halo's Spartans, and Elites depending on which game you're playing, are both very strong characters that can carry basically any weapon possible in the series. These aren't small guns either, there are rocket launchers, miniguns and shoulder mountable rail guns and on top of that, there are alien versions of most of those. In fact, Spartans are so strong that they can carry advanced Covenant technology in one hand and still handle the recoil, the same cant be said for the standard UNSC pistol.

7 Fragile, Handle With Care

Halo armor versus melee meme

Throughout the Halo series, players have been able to suit up in any number of insane armors and ever since Halo 3, players have been able to pick the different armor pieces that they can wear in multiplayer to customize their unique Spartan or Elite warrior. This system has only gotten expanded on in every game since Halo 3 with even more crazy additions to the player's avatar the only thing is that no matter how strong a player makes their character look, it only takes one melee to the back to kill.

6 Logic Doesn't Apply In Space

The Halo franchise is one that has always been one to take liberties with physics. This is fair as the franchise features lightspeed travel, laser weaponry and plasma weaponry that is seemingly slower than a turtle and that's not to forget all the different kinds of aliens that seem to have evolved to have, while different looking, still are generally similar in look and function to humans.

5 Flinching Is For Later Gen Spartans

Flinching was a mechanic that was introduced in Halo 4 but for players who had not played the fourth or fifth entries in the franchise, they might not know exactly what that means for the gameplay. Flinching in terms of Halo 5: Guardians and Halo 4 is whenever the player is aiming down sights and is shot, their character will look upwards while still ADSing. In previous entries like Halo 3 And Halo: Reach, The player would be quickly booted out of ADS but would still be focused on the target. The flinching annoys a lot of players.

4 Chief Skipped Swimming Lessons

Halo can't swim meme

Master Chief is one of the strongest soldiers in all of video game history and also is one of the toughest. Thinking about all of the stuff that Chief has had to endure throughout his campaign against the covenant is mind-boggling, jumping out of multiple space ships, fighting a seemingly endless horde of killer aliens, and blowing up giant halo rings. Chief is a tough man and no one can dispute that. The only problem is that he seems to really dislike the water and can't swim.

3 Chief Only Deadlifts

Halo pistol recoil meme

The pistol is one of the most inconsistent weapons in the Halo series in terms of its damage. In Halo: Combat Evolved, it was a monster of a weapon, taking out Covenant vehicles and whole squads without even reloading a magazine.

With all that power it made sense that the pistol had a ton of recoil. The pistol was later nerfed to be more like an actual pistol in the later games, but it kept the same recoil, which was way too much for Chief, but flipping over a Scorpion tank, easy work.

2 Who Would Win

Halo Scorpion meme

This is one of the problems that most sci-fi writers face when they introduce an alien species for humanity to fight against. Even if humanity is centuries into the future, like humanity is in Halo, it seems like humans still stick to weaponry and technology that isn't too far off to what is around right now in 2020, even if they do have space fairing capabilities. If it ain't broke don't fix it must be what they're going with as somehow one standard UNSC tank is enough to take out some of the most highly advanced alien technology that the Covenant has spent years creating.

1 Overheating Is Timeless

Halo weapon overheating meme

It seems like there are a few things in this life that humanity is always going to have to deal with and even science can't help against. Aging, taxes, lag in the worst possible moment and it seems that weapon overheating is something that needs to be added to that list of impossible things to solve. The Halo games take place over 500 years ahead of the current time but still, humanity deals with overheating on their somewhat overly bulky weapons and it seems they will for a while because Covenant weapons overheat even more.
