Halo Infinite is easily one of the most anticipated video games releasing this year. Xbox has been teasing this game for the better part of two years and in that time, not a lot has been showcased in terms of gameplay and narrative. Though, admittedly, the prospect of a new Halo game is enough to get any fan excited. In just two days, Microsoft will finally show off Halo Infinite and are already teasing new content.

As mentioned previously, this game has been teased for quite some time now. What's somewhat upsetting to some fans is the fact that again, the gaming community has known about Halo Infinite for years now, but next to no substantial information regarding the game has been shown. To the point where fans are speculating theories based on Funko Pops and other unlikely sources.

Thus, when Microsoft announced that Halo Infinite gameplay would be confirmed at Xbox Series X event later this month, fans were incredibly excited. Though, even more curious is that Microsoft has been teasing new cutscenes and content for the game in vague Twitter posts. The most recent one was posted today.

The Tweet has the words "2 Days" and a GIF of an in-game cutscene playing on loop. Right now it's unclear what exactly is being shown. It looks like the Master Chief's helmet is being lowered onto some kind of cylinder. This isn't the first time Xbox has shown off a small cutscene clip from Halo Infinite, but this tease doesn't really do much to convey anything specific in terms of story.

One can only hope that this teaser is the set-up to something amazing. It's clear that both Microsoft and 343 Industries is trying something new with this game and hopefully it's able to fulfill the fans' expectations. If the rumors regarding a cinematic, one-shot camera style for cutscenes reminiscent of God of War are to be believed, then this game will at the very least be visually stunning.

Then again, the fact that it has taken Xbox this long to showcase gameplay is incredibly suspect. It's been two years since Halo Infinite was officially announced and Xbox is only now showing gameplay months ahead of when the game will presumably be released. There's still so much that fans don't know about Halo Infinite, but with any luck, hopefully Xbox will deliver on something amazing.

Halo Infinite is set to launch in the Holiday of 2020.
