It is no secret that Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass has become arguably one of the best gaming deals around. Microsoft, however, is now planning to sweeten the deal even more with their offer of exclusive rewards for the upcoming Halo Infinite.
Microsoft revealed this information as part of its Xbox 20th anniversary announcements. The reveal lacked specific details other than the fact that Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will receive monthly multiplayer bonuses for Halo Infinite.
Microsoft is seemingly going all out in making Xbox Game Pass an exceptionally appealing option for gamers. Xbox Game Pass recently added three day one games to its monthly subscription service. Among the three games included was The Riftbreaker which happens to be a next-gen exclusive that PlayStation and PC users will have to pay full price for.
Some Xbox Game Pass titles are already offering in-game perks as a reward for subscribing to the service such as items, extra XP and, skins. PlayStation does not offer any bonuses like these on its PlayStation Now or PlayStation Plus subscription services and many PlayStation gamers have already been repeatedly disappointed with the free games on PlayStation Plus. PlayStation seems slightly out of the loop in this regard, as it did not add any horror games to its October PlayStation Plus lineup. Microsoft on the other hand specifically added Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse for the month of Halloween.
Microsoft is making it increasingly difficult for gamers to not want to convert to the green team as the multiplayer element of Halo Infinite will be free and the campaign can be acquired through an Xbox Game Pass subscription. Microsoft has also made efforts to combat the recent trend of cheating and hacking in modern multiplayer games by creating a position at 343 Industries that focuses nearly entirely on player safety and security.
Although Xbox Game Pass regularly loses games, the service holds it's ground by offering AAA games on day one like Back 4 Blood and Forza Horizon 5 which will release next month. Gamers often have many difficult decisions to make in the holiday season as there is often a high volume of releases in a short period of time. Microsoft seems to have the solution for this and many gamers may decide to spend their money on an Xbox Game Pass subscription that will include Halo Infinite instead of shelling out $60 for the new Call of Duty and Battlefield series entries.
Halo Infinite will release on December 8 for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
