Halo Infinite is getting closer and closer to being in Halo fans' hands. Not because Halo Infinite's release date of late 2021 is nearing, either. Rather, the inevitable testing for Halo Infinite's multiplayer is getting closer, perhaps even closer than many Halo fans expected. It's now been confirmed via Halo's community manager at 343 Industries that details regarding Halo Infinite's upcoming test flights will be shared before the end of July.

The confirmation comes from Halo community manager John Junyszek. Junyszek responded to a wave of questions online on Wednesday with the intent of clarifying some confusion. His first point is the key one. Junyszek says that July's Inside Infinite blog post on Halo Waypoint is about Halo Infinite's test flighting. In other words, the first official details about Halo Infinite's testing plans should be shared by the end of the month, of which less than ten days remain.

As for why Junyszek was answering this question at all, news regarding some upcoming Halo Infinite plans had already broken online. Several influencers shared the news that they'd been contacted by 343 with early information about upcoming Halo Infinite technical test flights. The guidelines didn't include any details about when the flights would occur, instead confirming the influencers' invitation and telling them how they'll be able to cover the tests in terms of content creation.

The influencers sharing their excitement about Halo Infinite's upcoming technical tests had a number of fans speculating that a secret test may be happening as soon as this week. It also stirred up some frustrations about influencers potentially getting access to the game ahead of Halo Insiders. That's where Junyszek's second point comes in. He makes clear that invitations for the Halo Infinite technical preview have not been sent out. As previously mentioned, the letters sent to influencers were about what kind of content they'll be able to make.

Obviously, as exciting as Junyszek's news is, it's not specific. News may be coming soon, but it isn't clear when. June's Inside Infinite was shared on Thursday, June 24, which was the last Thursday of the month. If 343 Industries keeps to that schedule, Halo Infinite flighting plans should be shared on July 29.

As for the test flights themselves, odds are that 343 wouldn't be sharing news about them if they weren't coming up soon. Perhaps Halo fans will have the opportunity to try Halo Infinite's multiplayer as soon as August. With that in mind, Halo fans should make sure they're registered for a possible invitation as soon as they can. Time may be running out.

Halo Infinite releases late 2021 on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
