As the major launch title for Microsoft's next-generation Xbox Series X, Halo Infinite hype is real. Fans are clamoring for new information about the game, and 343 Industries community manager John Junyszek had to remind them to only trust official channels after a recent 'massive' Halo Infinite leak was revealed to be fake. One British graphic designer who goes by XboxPope on Twitter decided to channel their excitement for the upcoming game by creating a mock-up of what a special-edition Halo Infinite Xbox Series X could look like.

The fan-made console and controller design is green and black in the same kinds of worn-metal textures that make up Halo protagonist Master Chief's Spartan power armor. It is also adored with Chief's designation number "117" and has bits of gold flourish that come out especially well underneath the two analog sticks of the Xbox Series X controller.

When asked by a commenter on the Twitter post whether they could create a similar concept using "translucent green" like the original Halo-edition Xbox, XboxPope responded with a very fitting gif of a priestly figure growing disgusted and shaking his head 'no.' For those who like the work XboxPope creates and want to see more, the artist recently put out a mock-up of a special-edition Assassin's Creed Valhalla Xbox Series X too.

The graphic designer has a rather large body of work customizing different consoles and controllers prior to these Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Halo Infinite pieces. Though they tell another fan in the comments that they have not been hired by Microsoft because "they have better people then [sic] me already," XboxPope has previously designed special controllers in collaboration with the Xbox Live team.

While Halo Infinite is easily one of the most anticipated next-gen games that the world currently knows about, there is plenty of work being done by various studios to start lining up games for the Xbox Series X and Sony's PlayStation 5. After Epic Games unveiled its Unreal Engine 5, compatible with both those consoles and the Nintendo Switch, Xbox Game Studio inXile Entertainment revealed it is working on an Xbox Series X game using Unreal.

For those still dying to find out more about Halo Infinite who are not satiated by fan-made creations like XboxPope's Xbox Series X, Microsoft has confirmed its intent to reveal more. A first look at Halo Infinite will be happening during July's Xbox 20/20 livestream event.

Halo Infinite is set to release holiday 2020 for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
