Halo Infinite sees the return of many familiar weapons, slightly modified versions of existing ones, and most excitingly, the introduction of multiple new toys. The reliable Battle Rifle (BR75), classic Assault Rifle (MA40 AR), and the explosive Needler all return with slight modifications. New weapons like the VK78 Commando and the Heatwave provide nice alternatives to the Battle Rifle and Shotgun respectively. Then there's the Shock Rifle, a weapon unlike any other in Halo Infinite's sandbox, combining two disparate weapon types into one electrifying fun package.

A mix of the S7 Sniper Rifle and the Disruptor pistol, the Shock Rifle is an easy to use, but difficult to master weapon for a variety of circumstances. Like its Power Weapon sister, the S7, one headshot with the Shock Rifle is an instant kill, while it will take three shots to the body to drop a player. Where this weapon truly shines is against vehicles, as most will become electrified and disabled after two shots. It is important then that players know where the Shock Rifle is at all times (especially in the Big Team Battle playlist) as it is lethal to Spartans and vehicles alike.

Shock Rifle Spawns in Halo Infinite Quick Play

The Shock Rifle does not make too many appearances in Halo Infinite's Quick Play playlist, this being the game's collection of 4v4 Arena-styled mode. Of the six maps that appear in Quick Play, the Shock Rifle appears on three of them: Aquarius, Launch Site, and Streets. When playing on Aquarius in either Team Slayer or Capture the Flag (CTF), the Shock Rifle spawns in Hydro on the bottom-most portion of the hallway at its absolute center.

On Launch Site 1-Flag CTF, the Shock Rifle is inside Bunker Nest, to the left of the capture team's spawn. As for Streets, the Shock Rifle only spawns during Team Slayer and Strongholds, and can be found on the wall at Subway Balcony, just before stepping outside. While 343 Industries may change the weapon spawns in a future update, these are current locations for the Shock Rifle in Quick Play.

Shock Rifle Spawns in Halo Infinite Big Team Battle

Players itching to use the Shock Rifle should definitely play Halo Infinite's Big Team Battle playlist as it spawns on all three of the maps in its rotation, them being Deadlock, Fragmentation, and Highpower. Starting with Deadlock, The Shock Rifle spawns along the back walls of both High Base and Low Base in CTF but has different spawns for every other game mode.

On Big Team Slayer, it spawns in the front of High Base just below the AA Turret, while it still drops on the back wall of Low Base. In Total Control this is reversed, with the Shock Rifle spawning once more on the back wall of High Base, and below the turret on Low Base. Lastly, it only spawns in Stockpile in High Base along the back wall.

With Fragmentation, the Shock Rifle only appears when playing Stockpile and Total Control. It can be found right at the start of the match in both Canyon Base and Cliff Base, sitting along one of the uppermost walls just before each base's respective man-cannon. While players can also find power weapons in Fragmentation's loot caves, it is not a definitive location for the weapon, though it might turn the tide in a game mode where it doesn't spawn naturally.

Highpower is definitely where the Shock Rifle spawns the most, appearing in all four game modes in two locations each. There is some consistency here, as the Shock Rifle always spawns at Overlook, a hill that's stationed in the middle of the map just past the ledge that players can man-cannon to. All that remains are the other spawns in every game mode: in CTF, it spawns at Cave Pit, a rocky recession adjacent to Overlook; and in Slayer, Stockpile and Total Control, the Shock Rifle can be found on the back platform of Waterfall Base where the Wasp usually spawns.

Shock Rifle Spawns in Halo Infinite Ranked Arena

In Ranked Arena, the Shock Rifle is an extremely uncommon weapon to find, only spawning on one map of the six in the playlist. Players can find the Shock Rifle on Recharge in every Ranked game mode, those being Oddball, Slayer, and Strongholds. The weapon spawns at Batteries on a tiny platform that overlooks the entirety of that area, making it quite the risky weapon to pursue, especially at the beginning of a match.

The Halo Infinite Multiplayer Beta is available now on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, with the full release coming on December 8.
