Halo Infinite has steadily been receiving updates since launch that have been fine-tuning its item shop in addition to addressing other issues. A big wish from Halo Infinite players was the ability to purchase items from the store individually, and with this week's update, they can finally do so.

Up until today, the only types of cosmetics that could be purchased in Halo Infinite were from bundles. In turn, since 343 Industries was grouping together so much content, some of Halo Infinite's bundle prices have been rather extreme according to players. In a recent statement about the future of Halo Infinite, 343 Industries confirmed that it will let players earn credits in subsequent battle passes and increase the value of the store's bundles. Until Season 2 starts, 343 Industries plans to continue experimenting, like how it brought down the bundle prices in Halo Infinite not too long ago.

As 343 Industries announced it would, Halo Infinite has begun selling individual cosmetics in the item shop. Players can buy the Firefall Legendary Helmet, which is essentially the ODST helmet for the Mark 7 Armor Core, for 700 Cr, or get the Neon End Credits Epic Kill Effect, which disintegrates defeated enemies into purple lines, for 600 Cr. Since players can only buy Halo Infinite Cr in certain increments and not per item amount, players will have to buy at least $10 worth of credits to get either of these items. Rounding out this week's new items are the Perfect Ascension bundle for 800 Cr, packing a Mythic Armor Effect, and the Cosmic Goblin Armor Coating bundle for 400 Cr.

Despite being individual items, it appears that players will have until February 1 to purchase the Firefall helmet and Neon End Credits Kill Effect. The rest of the Firefall armor set will likely be made available through the store at some point, the miscellaneous components potentially appearing as part of the daily rotating item slot. Previously, full armor bundles in Halo Infinite cost $20 in the shop, so once more of the Firefall set appears will players be able to determine if 343 Industries really cut that overall price down.

With four unique items in the shop, and only one that is rotating daily, 343 Industries is offering quite the limited selection of goods this week. Many players have offered suggestions for how Halo Infinite's store could be fixed, some showing more available items to others' completely overhauling the UI. There needs to be a balance between the types of items being offered, their price, and how long they should be available for. This week is another step in the right direction, but one might be left wanting if expecting a full selection of individual items and chopped bundles.

Halo Infinite is available for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
