With just a few days to go before Halo Infinite’s full launch, Halo fans have a good bit to be excited about. At the moment, however, the game’s multiplayer remains in beta form and some players have already reported some minor bugs and issues. In the latest example of these, one player found their perspective completely changed in the middle of a Halo Infinite multiplayer match.

Though available to play right now, Halo Infinite’s multiplayer has been in beta since last month. Like the other major shooters in the Halo series, Halo Infinite take players through an interstellar war from the first-person perspective. First person shooters are from a character’s point of view while a third person shooters have their camera above, leaving this clip somewhere in the middle of the two.

This clip by u/Fera_Lilium shows a truly odd perspective for a Halo game. In it, it appears as though the in-game camera is fixed to one position with all of the HUD elements still there but the player is completely unattached and able to run around in the foreground. This leaves u/Fera_Lilium without any option to make any headway in their match. The oddest moment of the clip occurs early on when u/Fera_Lilium looks directly at camera, which must have been quite the confusing moment for them. Their character can still run all over the place, shoot at the screen, and throw grenades but they soon find themselves completely off camera. None of their erratic movements do anything to reset the bug, leaving u/Fera_Lilium out of luck.

Unlike the recent aim assist bug in Halo Infinite, this visual change is anything but helpful for anyone who encounters it. Though it gives a wider perspective and a unique look to the game, even veteran players couldn't take advantage of this. Likely Halo Infinite's multiplayer will see updates when the game in its entirety launches soon and hopefully this bug gets addressed.

Though the perspective gives an interesting new look to Halo Infinite, it must have been a bit frustrating for the player who encountered it. With some players already giving the game some negative feedback with regard to the multiplayer’s progression system, hopefully, the upcoming launch of Halo Infinite resolves any lingering issues and bugs players have begun to discover.

Halo Infinite has already been delayed, however, and some players would have likely preferred the lingering problems to have been resolved by this point, especially when it comes to the game's progression pacing and customization. Either way though, this clip gives players an interesting clip to enjoy just on the brink of the full release of the game.

The Halo Infinite Multiplayer Beta is available on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, with the full game releasing on December 8.
