Now that its campaign has finally been released, players have been discovering easter eggs left and right within Halo Infinite's open world. From references to Craig the Brute to Red Vs. Blue, there's plenty for fans to find as they explore the mysteries of Zeta Halo; however, one fan found an easter egg that's equally puzzling and hilarious hidden deep inside the ring: a giant sandwich being worshiped by grunts.

Halo games are known for their fun easter eggs and tongue-in-cheek references to pop culture, so it doesn't come as much of a surprise that Halo Infinite is jam-packed full of original Xbox's, plushies of the game's main cast, and Halo arcade cabinets. Still, the sandwich is something of a head-scratcher. Its giant size outclasses plenty of the other hidden secrets within the game, but it's also pretty well hidden compared to a lot of the other more subtle outside references. Ever since it was highlighted on Twitter by John Junyszek, 343 Industries' community manager, players have been pining to see the giant lunch food for themselves.

Finding Halo Infinite's Giant Sandwich

Despite its huge size, finding the sandwich easter egg requires a keen eye because of how well it's been hidden within the caves of Zeta Halo. To find it, players will have to have completed the mission "Excavation Site" in Halo Infinite's main campaign and have access to the area where the next level, "The Spire," is located. Once the area is available, the player needs to travel southeast to the caves behind past "The Spire" and enter them.

Once inside, the player will need to follow the path through the tunnels until they arrive at an open area that's much better lit than the dark caves at the start of the path. As the area begins to get wider and the ceilings get higher, the player should be able to notice a tall spire with a break in it towards the bottom that reaches all the way up to the cave's ceiling to their left. Because it's so tall, it might take a few tries, but the player should use Master Chief's grappleshot to make their way up to the top of the spire.

After climbing the spire, the player should notice a relatively small crevice immediately above them that they'll need to grapple into. After making it up, they should be inside a room that has the sandwich within it surrounded by frozen grunts who are worshiping the divine picnic classic that don't pose any threat to Master Chief.

Halo Infinite is available now for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
