There has been plenty of speculation regarding the release window of Halo Infinite. If this new Krispy Kreme advertisement is true, fans may get their hands on Halo Infinite in just a few months time.

Halo Infinite has had a long development cycle. Following tremendous fan backlash after last year's preview of the game, Microsoft decided to delay the next Halo entry from its original 2020 release window into sometime this year. Now, after being shown at E3 2021, and consistent development updates from 343 Industries, it seems like the game has been progressing quite nicely since last year's divisive appearance. All that's left is an official release date, and Krispy Kreme may have just revealed it.

An eagle-eyed Reddit user noticed a tweet from Xbox Mexico announcing a partnership with Krispy Kreme donuts that may have inadvertently also unofficially announced Halo Infinite's release date. The tweet when translated reads, "Why wait for November if we can start the festivities now?" implying that the game will be dropping sometime in November. This aligns with other rumors that Halo Infinite would be releasing sometime this fall, but it is nonetheless silly that a tweet about a partnership with Krispy Kreme is what leaks this information.

In Xbox's partnership with Krispy Kreme, it seems that the donut company will be releasing a Master Chief donut to celebrate Halo's 20th Anniversary. The "Infinite Doughnut" as its called, is rather simple in design, looking chocolate frosted and adorned with a potentially edible cutout of Master Chief's Mark VI armor from Halo 4 and 5. This inspired donut that will be available from July 30 to September 30 this year, but it is unclear whether this promotion will extend into other regions beyond Mexico. Coincidentally (or perhaps all according to plan), this announcement immediately follows Xbox donuts coming to Krispy Kreme in the UK, making Krispy Kreme a huge sponsor of Xbox and its products apparently.

As mentioned, since Halo Infinite is drawing nearer and nearer, more information and gameplay continues to be released by 343 Industries. Just recently, in a new stream, while it only took up a fraction of the run time, 343 Industries showed new footage of Halo Infinite running on the Xbox One, finally giving players some sort of idea of the game's performance on the last generation of hardware. Almost a year into the new generation of consoles, a permeating worry is that those who cannot upgrade or have not upgraded yet will be left behind, so it is reassuring to see the game running in a stable form on the Xbox One. Now if Xbox would officially come out with a release date for the game, then all worries could finally be set aside.

Halo Infinite launches later this year for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
