Halo Infinite is set to release in December, and 343 Industries gave some insight into what players can expect from the multiplayer side of the latest title in the franchise. Completing Halo Infinite multiplayer dailies and weeklies can unlock additional content beyond XP that goes towards Battle Pass progression. One example of additional loot that players can work towards is a Stone Green armor coating that players can apply to their Spartans. Armor coating will be just one of several additional goodies that Halo Infinite fans can progress towards when the game releases.

The recent Halo Infinite screenshots included two different angles of a multiplayer map known as "Behemoth." The map is located on Zeta Halo and it offers long sniping avenues in addition to tight corridors inside the structures scattered around the map. Behemoth appears to be covered in alien plants, rocky mountains, sand dunes, and structures that will feel familiar to Halo fans.

Beyond teasing a location, 343 Industries highlighted various pieces of the Halo Infinite arsenal. One highly detailed image of The Banished Shock Rifle will remind some Halo fans of their time in the Halo Infinite multiplayer tech preview. 343 Industries also showed off the shiny new Warthog that gamers will be driving around the Halo Infinite battlefield later this year.

Big Team Battle will include flag carrying and both sides' flags have been shown off by 343 Industries. Big Team Battle will also have various sandbox elements which was a heavy focus to 343 Industries. This includes the vehicles that Halo fans are familiar with in big maps, but also Pelican drops and Weapon Pods.

There are many aspects to Halo Infinite's Big Team Battle and the developers behind the multiplayer gave some insight into the development. 343 Industries is putting an emphasis on three core pillars of Big Team Battle: embracing the Spartan fantasy, empowering player types to thrive, and unleashing the Halo Infinite sandbox. The team wants players to feel like a Spartan with a wide range of weapons at their disposal regardless of playstyle.

Halo Infinite releases for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on December 8.
