Halo Infinite is one of the most highly anticipated titles coming out later this year. Its gameplay was showcased only a week ago, and since that time, a lot has been revealed about Halo Infinite, but a lot of information remains to be seen. However, a developer from 343 Industries has recently addressed many of the concerns regarding Halo Infinite, including the possibility of a multiplayer beta.

Many in the gaming community have been looking forward to Halo Infinite for quite some time. Ever since the initial reveal trailer back in E3 2018Halo fans have been extremely excited. However, for the past two years, the level of new information regarding this game and what players could expect from it was found lacking, to say the least.

With the gameplay showcase featured at the recent Xbox Series X event, many fans were met with newfound confusion rather than clarity. While the visuals were received rather harshly, Microsoft promptly responded to the Halo Infinite graphics complaints. However, something that wasn't addressed during the showcase was multiplayer, which left some fans rather irked.

In response to this, the Community Manager at 343 Industries, John Junyszek, posted a long article on Halo Waypoint that discussed many questions and concerns within the community. One of which was the possibility of a multiplayer beta, which Junyszek addressed rather vaguely. Junyszek stated that due to the complications surrounding COVID-19, many facets of the development process have been slowed down.

Right now, Junyszek and the other developers are unsure of what is possible given the current circumstances, but they still hope that they can deliver a hands-on user experience before the release of the game. None of this definitively answers anything regarding Halo Infinite's gameplay. Although, it's still possible that the developers will discuss Halo Infinite's multiplayer details in August.

It's understandable that the process of developing a game as large and as ambitious as Halo Infinite would run into numerous complications as a result of COVID-19. However, at the same time, the consistent lack of information that has occurred over the last two years has given many fans cause for alarm. Then again, that might just be due to Microsoft and 343 Industries wanting this game to be the best that it can be. The fact that Infinite will be the last Halo release for quite some time means that the developers need to make this game count.

Halo Infinite is set to launch in the Holiday of 2020 for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
