Halo Infinite's armor customization has been said to be taking heavy inspiration from Halo Reach's system. A new leak suggests that Halo Infinite is including the armor set of Reach's Emile, and other unique cosmetics.

This past weekend saw the beginning of Halo Infinite's second test flight, givings players another chance to get their hands on the game before it launches later this year. One of the available features players can test is Infinite's armor customization, which is the most in-depth the series has seen yet. Players can make certain appendages be prosthetic limbs, rather than being attached to certain armor pieces, and new color options allow for unparalleled player expression. It was confirmed this past July that the first season of Halo Infinite will be based on Halo Reach, the series' 2010 entry and the last one to be developed by Bungie.

Halo Infinite informer, HaloNoticiasMX, leaked on Twitter images of Emile's armor in Infinite along with other new cosmetic items. The image shows an Infinite Spartan dressed in Emile's armor, complete with the skull-engraved EVA helmet, the kukri-equipped Security right-shoulder piece, and ammunitation-laden Assault/Sapper chest piece, with the rest of his Reach armor pieces as well. Also in the tweet are images of two new armor effects: a back accessory of a translucent purple flag, and what looks like an electricity effect for the Spartan's gauntlets. 343 Industries has stated there are "millions" of armor combinations in Halo Infinite, and these are just some of the pieces.

HaloNoticiasMX uploaded these findings after successfully extracting their data from Infinite. An interesting detail is that Emile's armor is not 100% faithful to its appearance in Reach, as the Operator left shoulder piece is missing the four-pronged emblem which can be seen there. This is a tiny detail though, as that armor piece retains the same shape, and still looks great with the rest of the armor. With Halo Infinite borrowing from Halo Reach, it will be exciting to see what other familar Spartan armors make their way into Infinite.

The inclusion of Emile gives credence to the idea that Halo Infinite's "Heroes of Reach" season name means more of the Noble Six armor series will be coming to the game. Reach was notably where the Human/Covenant war was at its most bleak, with the Noble Six team just giving humanity the final spark it needed to go on and start the events of the original Halo. Not many members of the team survived Reach, and the name of the season definitely recognizes their legacy in the game and in the community. Hopefully armors of Carter, Kat, Jun, and Jorge are on the way.

Halo Infinite launches December 8 on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
