Halo Infinite is set to be one of 2020's biggest game releases, as the new Halo game's release is said to coincide with the launch of Microsoft's new console, the Xbox Series X. It's already apparent just how much Microsoft is excited about the game, and proof of that is self-evident at this weekend's New York Toy Fair. A range of Halo Infinite toys, action figures, and merchandise is being shown for the first time, and some of it even offers hints at what Halo fans can expect from Halo Infinite.

Photos from the Halo display show a variety of different items. For example, there are three non-wearable helmet collectibles for Noble 1, Master Chief, and Sarah Palmer. There's also an impressive wearable Master Chief helmet. 3.75", 6.5", and 12" figures are also available. Most of these are for Spartans, but there are also figures for the classic Jackal and Grunt enemies. There's also a "Roleplay Weapon" energy sword that's not quite full size, but is still impressively large.

One especially notable part of the display is for two empty boxes. The display boxes say "Villain (TBD)" on the inside. There are no hints as to who these villains will be, but they do serve as a teaser for unannounced characters from Halo Infinite.

Another notable detail from the toys is that Master Chief's armor appears to be classically inspired. That is, closer to Master Chief's armor in the original trilogy rather than the upgrade and more mechanical armor from Halo 4 and Halo 5. This was previously hinted at in Halo Infinite trailers showing Master Chief's armor, so the toys serve as further confirmation.

There are also a couple of weapons shown with the action figures. The most commonly shown weapon is a Battle Rifle that looks very close to the Halo 2-era BR. There's also a Needler in the hands of one of the grunt action figures.

Ultimately, there aren't any particularly major revelations coming from the new Halo Infinite toys. Perhaps the most important takeaway is that there's more evidence that Halo Infinite is returning to the classic style of the original Halo trilogy. Whether this will translate to gameplay and game design remains to be seen. Nevertheless, for nostalgic Halo fans looking for some awesome, classically-inspired toys, Microsoft's looking out for you.
