Halo Infinite: How to Change Difficulty

If Halo Infinite players want to make the game easier or more challenging, here's how to alter the difficulty level.

Halo Infinite's campaign has players in control of Master Chief as he explores the open-world setting of Installation 07, otherwise known as Zeta Halo. For those going into the campaign as a Halo newbie, it turns out that even the Normal difficulty mode for the game might cause players some trouble. Even experienced players can find themselves often dying to the brutal army of The Banished. For the Halo Infinite players out there that want to change the difficulty level, either lower or higher, here's how to go about it.

There are four different difficulty levels in Halo Infinite, and here's how players can change it. It's worth noting that players are unable to change the difficulty during the game, and it must be done in the main menu.

How to Change Difficulty in Halo Infinite

If players are currently in the middle of playing Halo Infinite, they will need to leave their game by going into the menu and selecting "End Game."
Choose "Okay" to head back to the main menu.
Now, make sure to choose "Load Game," and not "Continue." If Halo Infinite players choose to continue, they will go back to their file without being able to change the difficulty setting.

Easy - Take in the sights and sounds around the Ring as you slaughter outmatched adversaries. Recommended for players new to Halo.
Normal - Brutal enemies threaten humanity and test your indomitable spirit. First-person shooter experience recommended.
Heroic - Your foes are well-armed and resolute. Quell the storm and ride the thunder. Recommended for veteran Halo players.
Legendary - Run, little demon. Recommended for fans of Jackal Snipers.
