Of the remaining titles set to release in 2021, Halo Infinite is one that many players are looking forward to experiencing. After being announced over three years ago and being delayed for over a year, fans won't have to wait much longer for Halo Infinite to release. In fact, now fans all over the world will be able to know at what time of day the game will release in their respective country.

Earlier today, it was announced that Halo Infinite has gone gold. This term refers to when the content of any given game is ready to be printed on to discs and shipped out for commercial sale. Halo Infinite going gold obviously indicates that, in addition to Halo Infinite's free-to-play multiplayer, players will soon be ready to play the full game. Although, depending where fans are located, the game will release at different times.

Over on the official Halo Twitter page, the release times for Halo Infinite were revealed all across the world. The game will be available to purchase on December 8, with differing release times depending on the country. However, Halo Infinite will technically be released one day late in Hong Kong, with the game being available to purchase at 2 AM on December 9.

For many fans of the Halo series, this is a momentous occasion. Since the release of Halo 5 back in 2015, there hasn't been a new mainline Halo game. From what many players have seen of Halo Infinite's multiplayer, many fans are impressed with the game so far. Although, for many longtime fans of the series, the single-player campaign could make or break Halo Infinite.

The story and world-building of Halo are some of the series' core strengths. Many players still hold Halo 2 in high regard not just for its gameplay, but various aspects of its narrative as well. Therefore, the story of Halo Infinite, in addition to its newly updated gameplay mechanics, will be integral to the enjoyment of many players.

It will be interesting to see how much success Halo Infinite manages to garner once it has released. There have been rumors that Halo Infinite could have multiple campaigns. While these rumors remain unconfirmed, given that Halo Infinite is intended to last nearly a decade, it's possible that multiple story campaigns could attribute to the game's longevity. In any case, the release of Halo Infinite is less than a month away, so fans will be able to know for sure quite soon.

Halo Infinite releases December 8 on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The multiplayer beta is available now.
