In Halo Infinite, there are weapons for every type of occasion and every type of engagement. If trying to take down a vehicle, use one of the new Shock Weapons like the Disruptor or Shock Rifle to paralyze it and leave it vulnerable for team fire. Or perhaps players just aren't breaking enemy shields fast enough—try a Plasma Weapon like the Pulse Rifle or Ravager, then, tools designed specifically to drop Spartans' shields. The CQS48 Bulldog is Halo Infinite's Shotgun, and when used properly, can be a dangerous weapon in close quarters.

Designated as a Kinetic Weapon, the Bulldog is a combat shotgun that fires hefty 12-gauge shells at whoever is unfortunate enough to be nearby. Kinetic Weapons, more generally, are weapons that are powerful against unshielded enemies, making light work once the shields are down. More times than not, players will be shielded though, which players can drop by firing two shots and then cleaning up the rest with a headshot. Since multiple projectiles are being fired with every trigger pull, as long as the majority of the shots are hitting their mark, the Bulldog can wreak havoc in most close-to-medium range encounters.

Bulldog Spawns in Halo Infinite Quick Play

Ironically, despite being the Halo Infinite Multiplayer playlist that is predominantly close-quarters encounters, the Bulldog doesn't appear on every map in the playlist's rotation. It still has a handsome showing, though, being found on most of the maps in Quick Play, including Bazaar, Launch Site, Live Fire, and Streets.

Starting with Bazaar, the Bulldog Shotgun only spawns during Capture-the-Flag (CTF) and can be found on a wall at Tower Basement. Mode-specific spawns will be a recurring trend for Quick Play, the Bulldog being replaced by the Heatwave in other game modes on Bazaar.

Launch Site is a great example of mode-specific spawns, the Bulldog appearing in both of the map's game modes. In 1-Flag CTF, the Bulldog spawns at Launch Tower on a slender wall, right in front of the defending team right when they spawn. Conversely, in Slayer, the Bulldog can be found on the opposite side of the map at Bunker Platform to the far right when facing the enemy team's spawn.

On Live Fire, the Bulldog is one of the map's hardest-to-miss weapons, it being stationed on a big choke point. Players can find the Bulldog on a wall about halfway through Live Fire's Tunnel, the area just below the Power Weapon spawn, in both Team Slayer and Strongholds. As for Streets, the Bulldog is an often easily forgotten weapon as most of the map's fighting happens well aways from it. The Bulldog spawns on a yellow vending machine at Commercial District right near the purplish-pink fluorescent signs when playing Oddball on Streets.

Bulldog Spawns in Halo Infinite Big Team Battle

Considering the variety of engagements that happen in Big Team Battle, the Bulldog is a weapon that can make many close-encounters trivial. It spawns on all three of the Big Team Battle maps—Deadlock, Fragmentation, and Highpower—but again, varies in location based on which game mode is being played. The Bulldog can be found in every game mode on Deadlock, with the location changing for just one of them. On Slayer, Total Control, and Stockpile, the Bulldog spawns along the back wall of Deadlock's High Base, while in CTF, it drops on the back wall of Low Base.

Fragmentation has two sets of locations for the Bulldog to spawn in depending on the game mode. In CTF and Stockpile, players can find the Bulldog on one of Forerunner pillars at Rock Power Node and Hex Power Node, the respective blue and red base areas where each team's flag is first dropped. When playing Total Control, however, the Bulldog spawns on the walls of both Canyon Base Interior and Cliff Base Interior, the respective insides of both team's bases.

bulldog highpower

The final Big Team Battle map, Highpower, features multiple Bulldog spawns on every game mode—CTF, Slayer, Stockpile, and Total Control—which can be confusing when trying to find the weapon. During CTF, the Bulldog can be found in two spots at Waterfall Base, the first being along the inner wall of the left tunnel where the Mongoose spawns, and to the immediate right after walking through a narrow hallway. The other Bulldog spawns at Tower Base on the wall just through the hallway near their flag.

In Big Team Slayer, two Bulldogs spawn at Tower Base, one in the location mentioned above, and the other along the base's back wall near a Mongoose spawn. In contrast, a third Bulldog can be found on a wall at Archway, an industrial tunnel at the map's halfway point. For Stockpile, the Bulldog spawns identically to its placement in CTF, except the Tower Base Bulldog is now located at the just mentioned Archway spot. The Bulldog is spread pretty evenly in Total Control to round things out, one dropping at the Mongoose location at Waterfall Base, one dropping on the wall opposite of the flag at Tower Base, and one in the map's center at Archway.

Bulldog Spawns in Halo Infinite Ranked Arena

Unlike Big Team Battle, where the Bulldog's spawn is constantly changing, it can be found pretty consistently in Ranked Arena. Of the six maps in this playlist, the Bulldog only appears on Bazaar and Streets, but their locations might look a little familiar.

The Bulldog is hiding in Tower Basement in both Slayer and CTF, the same spot as regular CTF on Bazaar. Likewise, the Bulldog can be found on the yellow vending machine in Streets' Commercial District in all three game modes, including Oddball, Slayer, and Strongholds, just like in regular Oddball on Streets.

The Halo Infinite Multiplayer Beta is available now on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, with the full game releasing on December 8.
