Unfortunately for 343 Studios, many fans of the game took to the internet to express their disgust with the game's current graphics through memes and blog posts. Halo Waypoint, the official website for the game run by 343 Studios, has released a statement made by a user named "Unyshek" that addresses these concerns.

Unyshek starts off their post by addressing that the development team is aware of the criticism and that the Halo fans' voices will not go unheard. In response to comments about the game's art style, the team has decided to tone down the legacy aesthetics that they were trying to implement into the game in favor of a more classic art style that fans enjoyed from the first reveal. They clarify that this does not mean less detailed graphics, just cleaner models with a more vibrant color palette.

In regards to the game's visual fidelity, Unyshek is aware that fans were concerned that objects seemed to be flat and dull. They go onto to explain that the build used to run Halo's campaign demo for the showcase was a work in progress, and there are still multiple graphical elements the team has yet to finalize. They go onto clarify that while they did expect some negative complaints from this, there was some feedback that the team hasn't considered and are working to fix quickly.

Unyshek ends that segment of the post by describing that while they do not have any concrete answers as of yet, the team is working hard to correct this situation. 343 Studios has taken this criticism as well as it could, and it is excellent that the company is willing to admit it has made a mistake, and it's working to fix it.  If the Sonic movie can make a comeback from the horrible backlash it received over its visuals, then there is hope for Halo Infinite.

Halo Infinite is in development for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
